So what this study actually shows is people particular to this study PERCEIVED their parents as authoritarian or loving/accepting and answered some questions about sexuality. There is no application to society at large in a study like this. Who knows why these people participated? That's a big problem with studies like this - how was the population gathered but we don't know and the study can't be read without purchase.

I also noticed with this new influx of young couples substituting children with pets we also saw a "scientific study" a few weeks back telling us all how good sleeping with our pets is for us. Guess that also came in handy with the lonely 40 somethings who swallowed the lie of "you can have it all, you go gurrrl"
