your 2cents on prom invite...

Hey all, I've been lurking in these forums for quite a while, and I have to say I've grown to have a lot of respect for (most of) you. As such, I was wondering if ye might be willin' to give me some feedback on the following method of asking a girl to prom.

2 origami rose heads, spraypainted (very artfully if I do say so myself) yellow, taped on either side of a printed artwork of a pencil sketch rose, with the following words underneath it:

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
My spray paint is yellow...
.
.
.
.
.
.
...will you go to Prom with me?

I'm goin for the quirky vaguely funny route since I feel thats most likely the quality that she likes in me (as of this posting I've built up a nice repoir w/ her, and the word on the street(read: halls) is that she is waiting for me to ask her)

thoughts? Comments? Monkeys?

If she's waiting for you to ask her, it doesn't really matter how. That way is fine.

If she's not, though, then I wouldn't advise that route. The straight up, confident approach would fit better.

Since you say she is supposedly waiting for you to do it, go with your plan.

Sounds like you already made your mind up on what you want to do and are just looking for reassurance about it. Sure, it's a good idea, you might get her to laugh, and since she likes you anyway it really doesn't matter how you ask her.
