Ok, it is the start of the new school year and things have already gone bad with my parents.
Here's the story:
I hanged out for a bit with my cousin after school. I decided it was okay because I had no homework because school just started. Right after I came home, which was about 7 pm, my parents flipped out on me. They said: "You know, I could see it. Where the **** are you going with your life? It' already the school year and you decide to hang out. What about your homework huh? You should be staying home every single weekday and doing your studies! From now on, you're not allowed to go out from Monday to Friday!"
I mean like, WTF! I know what I am doing with my life. I am by no means doing bad in school, in fact, I'm doing very good. I'm Asian, nuff said.
I used to have the mindset of staying home every weekday so that I could get better grades, but now I know that way of thinking and action will only make things worse. I've been there. I used to not go out and with friends at these days and stayed home doing homework. This did many bad things: I resorted to video games because I got so bored, I lost most of my social skills, I got depressed and that really took away my energy to persevere in school.
Besides, I now know that school isn't the end all and be all. There are way more things in life that are worth learning. Like, let's say, conversational skills, financial skills and etc.
Damn asian parents... sigh
