What would you guys rather have?

1.) Patriarchy and be married to a solid 7.5/10 but you would have a very low notch count. You would also have limited sexual experiences because society would be conservative like it was in the 1950's. But your wife would be super traditional leave it to beaver style.

2.) The mess we are in now post feminism sexual revolution. Have a notch count of 50+ but cant find a quality girl to settle down with to save your life. But you have had sex with dozens of women, done all types of kinky stuff.

My white knight super liberal friend and I had a debate. He made a good point. He said that without the sexual revolution that we so despise, us men would not have been able to have much sex at all.

I think I would agree with you bro. I think I would take 1 also. But we are saying this from the vantage point of having experienced the dystopia of option number 2. What is interesting is that every boy grows up with the idealism of option number 1. Most men were not born players, or born plate spinners. We were born romantic idealist like the Fred Savage character from Wonder Years ( Winnie Cooper type girl). So I think option number 1 is more natural.

I will also look up more information about the Victorian era. Someone mentioned it to me last night and it seemed very interesting. I will try to stay away from any revisionist history too lol.

Impossible question to answer, because whichever one you choose, you're always basing the other choice on imagination.

Both have their benefits, both have their drawbacks, and both of each (benefits and drawbacks) are impossible to understand without experiencing.

I would guess the middle ground would be the ideal choice. A slightly toned down Don Draper type. Nice traditional wife and kids in the suburbs, job in the city with access to side action.

That's essentially been the female choice since the dawn of time, the beta provider and the alpha on the side when possible.

Ultimately though, we've got what we've got, may as well make the best of it.

Of course, to have that, it all starts inside the man. He has to have a purpose, and then his family helps him see that purpose through.
