you aren't really all that concerned with?

I met this chick in a bar...we chatted for a while, I got her number, we kissed, then later that night I ended up with another girl. I'm pretty sure she would've done stuff with me that night if it weren't for the other girl.

Anyway, I had since deleted her number, but then I saw her again in the same bar and we STILL hit it off really well. Re-obtained her phone number (took a little persuasion this time, LOL).

The thing is, I don't really give too much of a f--k about gettign with her. She's not all that...she has a beautiful face but body's a little on the chunky side. I'd probably still do stuff with her, though, and she seems like she's "down with it."

Either way, completely regardless of women, there's a particular movie I've been kind of wanting to see anyway. Should I invite her along, do you think? Just for the hell of it? I know that this site preaches action dates, but I just don't feel driven for this girl enough to waste an action date on her.

If you haven't got anyone else you'd prefer to go with then sure, why not?

You actually might have a good time!

If you're not incredibly fond of this girl, why are you bothering dating her?

Action dates are great because YOU control the amount of fun you have, regardless of whether she's having fun. If you're just looking for a girl to hang out with, then by all means drag her to the movie you're going to see. Don't forget to talk to other women while you're there.

I can't say I've been "incredibly fond" of a girl for a long time. I just figure that 1) I need the practice, and 2) I want to do something just to make sure I really don't care and it's not just me making an excuse to chicken out.

I seem to feel this way about every girl whose phone number I get. Even the REALLY hot ones. I just don't feel like associating with them any further. I'm afraid it's just fear sneaking its way into my head under the guise of apathy. :(

Perhaps you're bored of the dating scene? That's what happened to me.

I've been on like one date my whole life...a disastrous blind-date. And I'm still a virgin. How can I be bored with it, unless I find it to be boring to begin with?

I just don't relish the idea of dating women. It's just something else to juggle in my life schedule. Now f**king them, I could do that...it's the dating that takes time and effort. :p

Sup, Squirrels? I think these are two good reasons to go for it. I mean, there is nothing wrong with the friend zone if it's your aim in the first place, IMO.

I love the movies. Period. It is traditionally a good thing to do on a date and I like the mood of it. I can see how action dates may be a big deal for some but I feel that a person who has good socialization skills can be fun to chill with at home in their living room. Just think about people you just plain enjoy talking to no matter where you are. Of course, I wouldn't take a woman on movie date too frequently but if you are in a LTR me, expect to be just as in the loop with movies as Siskel and Roper.

Anyway, this situation is familiar to me and 7-8 out 10 times it translates into a good movie...*cough* Kill Bill *cough* and something to eat and whatever afterwards.

Don't do it.

Here is my thoughts - why would you want to spend hard earned cash on this chick?

The bottom line is, if she's going to Fvck you (or mess around) she going to it REGARDLESS of whether you go to dinner and a movie.

So, my suggestion is to do some else, that very low key.

Dinner and a date suggests that you want to go out with her. That you like her and want to date her. You don't want to do that, you want to have fun with this girl.

Invite her to your place to watch a movie if you must. Even better take her out to the local watering hole and shoot some pool or play some darts.

The bottom line is, you want her to know that you want to mess around with her - Dinner and a movie doesn;'t give her that impression. If she knows you want action, and she doesn't want to go out, then you've saved yourself some money.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.

Money? I ain't spending no money on her! LOL She's paying her OWN way. :D

And if there is a "dinner" component, it'll be going to the bar for a few drinks and I get me a plate of chikkin strips. And NO she can't have any. ;)

Movie, not the dinner

Don't drop a wad of bills on this gal unless she's someone special. Even then don't drop a wad unless it's way down the road.

Yeah, she may pay her own way, but then there's dinner stuff, wine, snacks, tip. Then concessions at the movie.

Do movie and Starbucks and call it that. Personally I think movie dates suck because you can't talk, but if it's a movie you really want to see, ask her.

Bag the dinner, however. Please.
