Would you take her back in this situation

Suppose you were not being ambitious and living up to your potential, procrastinating with important things. So she left you and eventually cuts you off for someone else or to move on easier. You get things going for yourself (not for her) and are doing well 1-3 years later and you're both single. She wants to give it another chance now.

Too late for her because she didn't have faith to stand by you until you took more action to get things going so she shouldnt be allowed to reap the benefits?
Or understand that she had to do what was best for herself out of self respect, and give it another chance?

If (when) you take her back, she will once again reduce you to a bumbling AFC loser and leave you for a second time. This situation normally works itself out naturally. Everybody here knows you are going to take her back, so it's sort of a moot point.

ETA: WOW, just a quick cursory look into vinkoch's posting history brings up some pretty telling red flags:

1 - He's married but has 2 girlfriends
2 - This particular chick has thrown him for a loop since July

Divorced by my choice. Thanks. Not taking anybody back. Nobody has asked to be taken back other than my ex wife just before the divorce. Neither have I not been ambitious. Just a question I thought was interesting for the board because I watched a movie with this scenario. The farter is not my girlfriend, not my ex, and not the person in question.

That may be true, but even then..you don't take her back and you find another girl. She already saw the sh!t side of you and she'll never forget it.
