Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

The last single mother I was with, had 3 kids and 2 abortions.Rollo Tomassi said:Put this in your notebook:
Any time you're dating / banging a single mother, you're sleeping with a woman who's against abortion.
Science is clear as mud. I say its not a human being until it can provide for its basic life support (breathing, injestion, etc). Until that its just a parasite sucking on its mother. Its not a baby till (or if) its born. Its a fetus before that. Nature has a way of killing them off itself before the fetus is born anyways.prairiedog24 said:...Science is clear what human life is, I don't think we should be questioning what a moral "person" is...
Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

Yes, science is. And the neural development doesn't happen until well into the pregnancy. Until then the embryo is a gooey mass of human tissue.prairiedog24 said:Science is clear what human life is, I don't think we should be questioning what a moral "person" is.
I'd just like to point out that you completely missed the argument, so perhaps you shouldn't insult people's intelligence at the moment.Alle_Gory said:Yes, science is. And the neural development doesn't happen until well into the pregnancy. Until then the embryo is a gooey mass of human tissue.
Here's a chart. http://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/wwwhuman/Stages/Images/Cst800.jpg
Its funny how the people who are so "pro-life" understand nothing about it.
The concept of "human being" is a concept of moral philosophy, not science. So what's as "clear as mud" is your understanding of what science is and what it isn't.scrouds said:Science is clear as mud. Fair enough. I don't care if people disagree with my position on the moral issue. I just can't stand it that science education is so degraded in the US that the average person has little understanding of what it even is. Pet peeve. Please don't turn this into a moral discussion about if you are for or against abortion.
Unique genetic information doesn't make a clump of cells a person.prairiedog24 said:The genetic information is already there, and unique. Ask any scientist on it, they're unanimous.
It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Actually its not. Polls show most people are against abortion. Some go as far as murdering doctors (one who mostly aborted dead babies), and the rest want to make it illegal and want the woman punished in some form. The Inside Man said:I hope to God that this forum is not an accurate representation of the current state of American society.

Your statement is akin to saying "Football is clear as mud, iceskates may not exceed 15 inches in regulation play..."
Durrrrr.....
Did you think I was complimenting you?So what's as "clear as mud" is your understanding of what science is and what it isn't.
Completely agree with you here. To say otherwise is like suggesting that that lady that started a thread about her husband ignoring her and using porno instead is "a mans issue, and she shouldn't be a part of the discussion." Pretty asinine regardless of which side of the debate you're on. It's an intellectual cop-out.@alle_gory - It takes 2 to make a baby. While we don't have direct control, I'll be damned if it isn't an issue men should be interested in. Also, one of the things a man's job is is to provide guidance. Doesn't mean she has to listen, but its out there. You have power, you can try to use that to exert influence in either direction.
Oh no. You shut me up with these big vague phrases.prairiedog24 said:It's an intellectual cop-out.
Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
