If you were sleeping with a girl (protected sex) and at some point she told you she told you if she got pregnant that she would keep the child, would you continue to sleep with her?

Yup. Just because they say they're against abortion, doesnt mean they wont change their mind the second they get pregnant. Why would that scare you away? Just dont get her pregnant.

I'd be less apt to sleep with a woman who was pro-choice.

I'd hate to think somebody was aborting my baby.

Put this in your notebook:

Any time you're dating / banging a single mother, you're sleeping with a woman who's against abortion.

The way I see it the cold hard truth is that you should always have 2 methods of birth control working for you at all times.

And yes, abortion is one of them.
So is the pill, condoms, pullout, rhythm, et al.

If you have any concerns about disease condoms should be one of them. Otherwise pick at least one of the others.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

Vypros nailed it. I'm all for birth control, but abortion should not be one of them. Throughout history people have screwed up by disqualifying human life because of one ascriptive characteristic or another, be it black skin, female gender, etc etc. Science is clear what human life is, I don't think we should be questioning what a moral "person" is.

Moral of the story: use birth control.

Science is clear as mud. I say its not a human being until it can provide for its basic life support (breathing, injestion, etc). Until that its just a parasite sucking on its mother. Its not a baby till (or if) its born. Its a fetus before that. Nature has a way of killing them off itself before the fetus is born anyways.

3 kids and 2 abortions? damn, she gets around lol. I know a chick that has 2, 1st baby daddy is gone, second one she married (and still is technically) and the third is from another dude and the plan was to abort.

I also forgot plan B in my birth control list.

Please don't turn this into a moral discussion about if you are for or against abortion. I just want to you know if you would continue to sleep with a girl who would probably keep the baby if she gets pregnant.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

I like pointing out to them that if they're pro-choice then by default they're pro legalization of drugs and prostitution. You're body you're choice, right? Eh? I love it when I get people to follow the logic all the way through for the first time. Makes them think. I've seen girls freak the hell out because fo this because they thought prostitution was degrading and what not. Then we went through this and she completely did a 180 by the end of it. Happens quite often really.

The best ones are the feminazis. They're usually pro choice, but a lot of them hate hookers. Oh boy do they get fired up.

Yes, science is. And the neural development doesn't happen until well into the pregnancy. Until then the embryo is a gooey mass of human tissue.

Here's a chart. http://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/wwwhuman/Stages/Images/Cst800.jpg

Its funny how the people who are so "pro-life" understand nothing about it.

I'd just like to point out that you completely missed the argument, so perhaps you shouldn't insult people's intelligence at the moment.

All changes after conception are changes in degree, not kind. The genetic information is already there, and unique. Ask any scientist on it, they're unanimous.

The question up for debate is when a human "life" becomes a human "person" That' my friend, is a moral question, not scientific. You're free to disagree, but you're not free to drag science through the mud in the name of your politics.

The concept of "human being" is a concept of moral philosophy, not science. So what's as "clear as mud" is your understanding of what science is and what it isn't.

Your statement is akin to saying "Football is clear as mud, iceskates may not exceed 15 inches in regulation play..."

Durrrrr.....

Please don't turn this into a moral discussion about if you are for or against abortion.
Fair enough. I don't care if people disagree with my position on the moral issue. I just can't stand it that science education is so degraded in the US that the average person has little understanding of what it even is. Pet peeve.

Unique genetic information doesn't make a clump of cells a person.

It makes potential for a person once development starts, but is not a person in that state.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion allegory, even if it is completely wrong.

I'm strangely attracted to women who do not want to kill their own children. Weird huh?

I hope to God that this forum is not an accurate representation of the current state of American society.

Hey guys heres a tip: Help someone else instead of reading "seduction" material for hours on end.

If everyone tries to selfishly suck up resources for themselves only the world will continue down the current path of insanity and destruction. Do you want to be a part of the problem or the solution? And I'm not talking about abortion.

Actually its not. Polls show most people are against abortion. Some go as far as murdering doctors (one who mostly aborted dead babies), and the rest want to make it illegal and want the woman punished in some form.

So much for the sanctity of life. Don't flush a clump of cells, but instead murder doctors and punish women for getting pregnant.

I'm glad we have such rock solid morality here.

BTW. This is a woman's issue not a man's. The woman gets pregnant, the woman carries the baby, the woman makes a choice ultimately to keep it or not. Until you can get pregnant yourself (actually this can be done), its authoritarian for you to expect a woman to carry a baby against her will. You should look into Saudi Arabia. I hear the beaches are nice, but there's no booze. If you want to be subject yourself to authoritarian regimes, there's plenty of other gender-neutral dictatorships to choose from.

Please note, I'm not fighting for woman's rights or anything that righteous. You guys just don't get it, and some things need repeating.

Let's do a refresher on american idioms (Courtesy of usingEnglish.com)

"Clear as mud" – If something is as clear as mud, then it is very confusing and unclear.

Lets rephrase my statement. The science relating to when an embryo becomes a living human is very unclear. I think that as long as the clump of cells can't survive outside the womb at all, then its not a person.

My definition supports late term abortions, which isn't a very popular stance.

@Nutz - I agree, the term pro-choice is a misnomer and should be removed from speech. I prefer the term (and label myself as such) pro-abortion. That being said I totally support the legalization of a signifigant amount of illegal drugs (definetly pot should be legal) and both the legalization and regulation of hookers in america.

@alle_gory - It takes 2 to make a baby. While we don't have direct control, I'll be damned if it isn't an issue men should be interested in. Also, one of the things a man's job is is to provide guidance. Doesn't mean she has to listen, but its out there. You have power, you can try to use that to exert influence in either direction.

Lets do a refresher on what I posted...

So what's as "clear as mud" is your understanding of what science is and what it isn't.
Did you think I was complimenting you?

@alle_gory - It takes 2 to make a baby. While we don't have direct control, I'll be damned if it isn't an issue men should be interested in. Also, one of the things a man's job is is to provide guidance. Doesn't mean she has to listen, but its out there. You have power, you can try to use that to exert influence in either direction.
Completely agree with you here. To say otherwise is like suggesting that that lady that started a thread about her husband ignoring her and using porno instead is "a mans issue, and she shouldn't be a part of the discussion." Pretty asinine regardless of which side of the debate you're on. It's an intellectual cop-out.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
