I've been dating this girl for almost a year now. My family doesn't like her at all. Every conversation with them turns into an argument about her. I feel really bad breaking it off with her because she's a sweet girl and she didn't do anything wrong. How should I handle this?

I feel for you dude, I had this exact same problem.

While what your family thinks is important, what YOU think is much more so. They dont spend as much time as you do with her. They dont know her like you do, so they aren't in a position to judge like you are.

Just make sure that you judge objectively, and do whats best FOR YOU.

I'm honestly tired of hearing it from them. I really think it would be best to end it now before it gets any further and she ends up gets more hurt down the road. She already knows there's tension with the family. I just have to figure out how to go about doing this in the least painful way possible, which is going to be hard.

What do your friends say? If they are telling you the same thing, then I'd seriously consider getting rid of her.

Had that once before, when I broke up with a gf and all my family and friends came out afterwards and said "I'm so glad you broke up with her..." My response was "Why the fvck didn't you tell me this before then?!?"
