So the girl I've been seeing (wrote about in the met hottie at networking event) told me she had HPV a few years ago but it cleared up it's own. Since then she was in a relationship for 3 years which recently ended, and she was with 1 guy since but hasn't been tested.

For some reason I had this in my head when I was banging her and went soft. Should I let this bother me? I mean at least she was honest about having HPV right... What do you all think? Would you still hit it without thought? She is hot no joke... I'm very sexually attracted to her.

HPV has a higher tenancy to be problematic for women than for men. Around 50% of the population has it. If you've slept with women who are not virgins, you may already have it. Alas, there is no test for men to see if you have it. You just have to wait until warts show up on your d1ck.

I've had 3 girls in my past going back 25yrs that had pre-cancerous HPV cells show up on pap smears. All 3 had their cervix frozen and got rid of it. I probably have it, who knows. There is no way to know. If I die of throat cancer I guess we can say I "ate a lot of *****"! hahaha what a way to die.

I'm not going to live my life in fear.

Wouldn't bother me. Would appreciate the honesty as she could have easily said nothing. Would use a condom, which you should be doing always anyways.

HPV normally clears up on its own and most men will never know they have it unless the chick they are banging informs him that she was tested positive for it.

It's scary how many people have HPV. Women normally can have problems with it and men dont. My ex had it, she let me know and also let me know that after retested 12 months after the diagnosis, it was gone.

Still yet, wrap it up and don't worry about this stuff (as much).

For me it is definitely a turn off. I just have a don't ask don't tell policy. I've f.cked 100's of girls in my life and actually had a policy for a couple years that you "live and die by the 3". This in sex means you live by not using a condom or you die. I can say I've never contracted an STD. I'm more careful now however and strap up 80% of the time with new shorties.

It is a turn off for me because it tells me that the girl was not responsible and yes there is an exception to every rule. But just because it is a turn off doesn't mean I won't strap up and then fvck her.

I moved in with my wife after dating for just a few months. Soon after, she had her 2nd outbreak of herpes. She had gone to the doc for the first one, but that was in the islands, and he did not tell her what it was. That was two years before I met her. It wasn't until she had an outbreak here, and got treatment in the US that they told her what it was. It was a really hard decision for me to stay with her. I went to the university library and read every journal article I could find about HSV2. I saw a study that said the transmission rate between couples was 10% per year, for every year they were together. Those were odds I could live with. She was very good about telling me when she thought she felt an outbreak might be coming. We were married seven years. I never did catch it.

Later in life, I had a girlfriend in law school who gave me molluscum contagiosum, which is a mild STD that goes away with time. After I told her about it, the b!tch treated me like a fvcking leper, because I had an STD that she gave to me. I thought she would be the one person I could confide in, but no. She seemed morbidly afraid of me instead.

I've read that only certain strains cause warts, the others you have no symptoms at all...

So as men we just get cancer one day.... and that means we had HPV?

I think since it spreads by skin to skin contact and is so common it's not right to label a girl negatively because she had it..

^To me it's more of a stigma then anything else. 90% of girls I deal with I don't take serious anyway. We can still smash and have a good time but as far as relationships go I'm very particular with choosing a mate.

depends mostly on what kind, herpes, and the most long standing ones yeah I would not even get close, the ones who can be cured its kinda ok, but it will raise me a red flag, if she don't take care of herself, what else she can have?, I always wear condoms, not nly for the stds she can have but also to prevent she make a parasit and try to milk my money and I have to deal with then over the next 18 years,

serious i'm more scared of her getting pregnant then having a std....

I would ask her to get tested and get tested yourself for STDs, not counting HPV.

In my younger days, I would steer clear of any girl even rumored to have/had an STD. I don't care if she had Chlamydia 3 years ago, it still felt gross to me.

But now that I'm older, having a few STD/I's myself, and educating myself, I no longer think that. As long as the woman is clear of any STI or disease at the time, then I'm ok with it. But you can't just take her word for it, and honestly you have to have your wits about her. No ****ing girls with cold soars, itchy and smelly vaginas, and obviously if you see soars or anything abnormal, run for the hills.

As most have mentioned before, HPV is a lot worse for the woman, and men will never know they have it until warts show up. I had HPV about 4 years ago. I started growing warts on my shaft. I used a home wart freezing treatment, and within a few months they were gone, and I've never had a single wart appear again ever sense.

Like Bible Belt, I also had molluscum contagious for awhile. That **** sucked as well. But it cleared eventually.

Just recently, I caught a UTI from my ex. I've been taking amoxicillin for it, and it's pretty much gone now. But I am still taking antibiotics to make sure it doesn't reappear.

This probably makes it sound like I catch a new STD every week or something... but in reality, this all happened over the course of 4-5 years.

Point being... I've had STI/D's before.. so I am really in no place to judge a woman for it either. In this day in age, you are pretty much bound to catch something eventually. No matter how safe you are. If you are having frequent sex, your risk for catching an STD is great, and only gets greater the more you sleep around.

Woman are not angels. They sleep around, and they are no exception to this rule.

Educate yourself of the various STI's and STD's and it will alleviate a lot of your fear. Most of them are temporary. HERPES and HIV are the ones you really need to watch out for.

What's scary is that most girls honestly aren't aware that they have anything. Even if they were tested, if they've been with someone afterwards then they could have picked something up and it seems as that is when most of these things are contagious.

My game has really been hampered lately be this fear... I think more so because I'm in a relationship and wouldn't want to pass anything to my partner.

Agreed. I think for woman, things lay more "dormant" than men. When a man has something wrong with his junk, it's usually obvious within a couple days, with woman it can go unnoticed for awhile until there are more severe side effects. Women get rashes and yeast infections all the time, and will treat itchyness with something over the counter and not think much of it 90% of the time. Things can also lay dormant in men, it's less common, but not impossible.

In the case of the STD's I contracted. I think this was the case. Obviously, I would not have sex with a girl if I knew something was obviously wrong, but admittedly, during this time when I caught these STD's, I was having a lot of unnprotected sex. Which was really stupid. It took me catching 3 STD's, 2 abortions, 1 miscarriage, and 1 baby to finally realize to wrap it up, every time, no excuses. Don't care if the chick has her tubes tied, on the pill, or if we've been dating for 20 years... condom, every time.

Most of the guys here who have caught something probably agree and will admit they were having unprotected sex, most of these common diseases can be avoided by strapping on a rubber. Simply stupid, but very powerful. Just do it guys.
