Worst Turn down Ever

I was over at thundercats new website and he had a post by guys who had been shut down in funny ways. I'm not that good at picking up chicks and I get numbers every once in a while but I haven't been turn down hard before. I will share my worst with you guys.

I was at work feeling good I was having fun walking around the store. I noticed this girl I liked who worked with me and said "hmm I should talk to her". I went over stared talking and asked for her number (never ever ever ask a girl straight out for her number unless you get some sign) Anyways my high wore off a few days later I got so mad and depresse I never called her. I talked to her a few days later and she said "I don't really like and that was my boyfriends number anyways". I said ha I didn't call the number.

This is probably the worst I've been shut down and it didn't hurt that bad because I got with a girl a few days later and because she looked like a elfin retrard hooker. Now I want to hear you guy's stories and how you got over them

said "better answer that." she did.

That was the first approach I did.

what i hate is girls that think we are so stupid, that we'll believe them when they say "im sorry i lost my phone on the weekend" or "yesterday it broke" id much prefer "i dont have one" or "it broke ages ago" to think that we'd believe "i lost it yesterday" is a joke, ive had those "i lost it swimming on the weekend" lines a few times over the last few yrs,and i normally cut all contact and think they are too pathetic to talk to again

You guys ever notice that usually after a guy gets turned down by a girl, suddenly he says how ugly she was? I do it too.

But yeah, I was a Junior in HS and approached this girl and got 'her' number. Turned out to be a fake. About 4 days later I see her at the library but steer clear. She sees me HUNTS ME DOWN (I was walking downstairs), apologizes and says she gave me her old # by mistake.

Well, I call the new # WRONG NUMBER! I could only laugh, she must have really wanted to turn me down! :crackup:

That's nothing. I remember my worst turn down ever was the last day of highschool. This chick from school gave me a lift home since she was in my class and lived close to me.
Anyway we were talking about stuff we are going to do this summer and it seems that we had a lot in common so I just came out and said "hey why don't you give me your number and we will get together??!". All of the sudden she stops talking to me and went silent for like a good 15 seconds before she said" do I turn left on this street to your house"?? lol - After that I wanted to find a hole in the ground and bury my head in it.

One funny, one not so funny (for me).

In high school I got this cutie's number (last I saw her she was still cute) and gave her a call. She picked up, talked to me for a minute and then whispered to her friend, "Hey, call my name." So her friend yells out "Jess!" and while she began her, "Gee, gotta go" schtick I go completely :crackup:

Same year of high school, earlier in the year. I started digging this girl right before Valentine's Day. For V-Day they'd do this compatibility profile for a buck or two, so we all get ours for fun and sure enough she's #1 on mine and I'm #1 on hers. She looked at her list and asked, "Who's this guy?" and everybody pointed at me (I have a strange last name that looks nothing like it's pronounced). I should have known I was FZed by her look, but I still tried. She gave me a loooong explanation of why she doesn't date people she's friends with. Then she let it slip to our mutual friends. I spent the rest of the year hearing, "Well, you could at least ask her to the Jr Prom as a friend!"
