World of Warcraft, anyone in?

On Reckoning battlegroup Horde pretty much owns the Alliance. I like the undead racials for PvP so I usually play undead, either SP, Warlock or Rogue. I think BC was a mistake when they gave Horde Pallies and Alliance shammies; now the factions are essentially the same with different art.

I hope the next expansion adds a couple new classes that are unique to each faction again.

I figure my ~6 hour per month gaming habit isn't ruining my life.

I'll admit, WoW is a great game and I tip my hat to Blizzard for perfecting the MMORPG.

After wondering what all the fuss was about, I actually decided to try it out. For a month straight I played it, up to 6-7 hours a day. However, I realized the pattern that was forming and in one quick stroke I deleted my characters, cancelled my account and gave away the actual game. After being addicted to Everquest, and I do mean addicted, for at least two years I figured the last thing I wanted to do was go down that same path again, thank you very much.

I kicked the habit. I was a level 60(didn't have BC) shadow priest I was completely geared for a 60 in AV. I had over 8,000 health when the average is around 3500-4500. And I knew how to really play PvP

, working on a 40 paladin, with my other alts being a 35 druid, 25 mage and 23 warlock.

I had to stop playing because it was just such a BIG waste of time.

you guys are going to think im joking when i say this but.... i cringe when i hear guys talking like this - '8000 health, 40 paladin, 25 mage....'

seriously, it makes me cringe.

i just don't get it myself. i totally get the first person shooters. its hella fun to put on some metal music and blow the sh*t out of everyone. and way back in the day i liked the original warcraft where it was simple build your army and attack.

but when you start getting in to health points and levels and stuff, it makes me cringe. i don't know why, but it reminds me of dungeons and dragons.

I play the game after work on week nights. I can not do the higher end content, but usually do player vs player battle grounds. I play a 70 mage on the Agyros server, the same character I have had since 2005 or so.

yeah i used to play counter-strike 1.6 and cz at an almost pro level. i even won 2 thousand dollars of cash + gear in a tournament with my team.

But 2 summers ago i quit playing 5+ hours a day, and now i only play on weekends with my friends that don't go to my school and i can't get to see very often. It's a great way for us to bond as well.

i can say that it has improved my life so much. it's insane.
especially the extra sleep that i get.
