World Cup Qualifiers

Anybody have anything to say about the football World Cup qualifiers? Tiny Northern Ireland, 116th in the world and a "statelet" of 1.7 million people, beat 7th-ranked England 1-0 in Belfast. I never thought I'd abandon the English like this, but well done to Norn Iron. It really WAS just like watching Brazil. That's the real magic of football right there, and why the whole world loves this beautiful game. I have a lot more to vent about the ridiculously abysmal performance by England, but I was curious about what the rest of you thought about the action all over Europe.

Damnit... at least the cricket starts tomorrow...

About England - lets face it, Sven's a complete and utter joke.
None of his tactics make the slightest bit of sense - that 4-5-1 with Rooney on the left wing was never gonna work, he didn't go for the standard 4-4-2 because it would have required him to make a tough decision about who to drop out of midfield (i.e. one of Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham and Wright-Phillips).
Personally, considering Lampard's not been on form recently, and the fcat that he doesn't seem to play well with Gerrard, I'd have left Lampard out, played Cole left, Wright-Phillips right, and Gerrard and Beckham in the centre (trust me, I took Crewe Alex into Europe on Championship Manager )
But fvcking Sven, lets please just get him out, hes sh!te!

when bielorussia scored a goal after 4 minutes, i was extremely worried, then within 10 minutes, our beloved luca toni scored 3 goals and mauro camoranesi gave us the 4-1 just before the end of the first half

Yeah Ireland lost to France 1-0 in Dublin, feck sake so typical!
Theirry Henry scored a class goal,ireland looked impressive in the first half but never looked like they were going 2 score. Great game by Roy Keane as usual cmon u cork langer lol
Hopefully we can win the our last games

Mexico beat the crap out of Panama, 5-0. And is in first place, USA in second. Yeah, US beat us last game, but they lost as visitors.

Oh, and Netherlands rocked hard. They seem to be back bigtime.

Do you think Scotland can make it out of Italy's group? I used to laugh at any sentence with the words "Scottish" and "football" in it, but Walter Smith must've done something to those boys. I really think they can make it.

Yeah sven hasnt a clue what do do with your team. I think ye have the best team in 20 years if ye can get your manager sorted. Ye should be competing for the world cup..

i doubt you can get to the 1st place, since we just have to draw in a home match against slovenia or moldova
but i think you should get to the 2nd place: i saw your match against us and you were really good compared to lots of other teams i saw
