I just recently started the bulking up diet and weight training program by Diesel.

When I work out I have been really pushing myself to the max, so much so that on the next day my targetted muscles have hurted and ached.

Yesterday I worked my legs with squats and other exercises, and can hardly walk today. My ass even hurts! Is this normal? Am I taking this too extremely?

I do short workouts with the reccomended reps, one area a week, and I'm now on my rest period.

By the way, is low fat yogurt supposed to taste this bad?

Nope. Balls to the wall, that's how you're supposed to do it. It'll all be worth it in a couple of weeks once you start seeing the visible results, not to mention the increase in strength...

oh yeah.. you won't be as sore after a couple of weeks. bonus!

Yeah. That's why I don't eat it! :D

Keep up the good work!

If you are just starting, it is going to hurt a lot. Your body responds by letting the muscles become more pliable after a couple months.

You should always have some muscle soreness but it becomes something that is not a constant headache. Sort of like a background noise you can tune out. Stretching post workout and before bed will help a lot.

Way to go on the legs. Legs days are more important than upper body days IMO. You overload your biggest muscles and get your body overcompensating with muscle building hormones. I find that if I don't do a good leg workout, I get nothing out of upper body work the week after.

Lowfat yogurt sucks.
