Working out really helps

Most of you guys know this but it's always helpful to remeber. Well for all you skinny guys, like myself until about a year ago, motivate yourself to really hit the gym and get a good program together. The reason I say this is because depending on how ripped you get, and how you already look, it can improve your rating by as much as 3 points, I would say. I always had people tell me what nice eyes I had, I had an ok nose and very little acne....all in all an above average face. But I was skinny (5'9" 145). I had my successes because I could make people laugh, but what put my off from approaching the really hot ones was my feeling of being too skinny.

Working out and getting bigger and stronger totally changed how I feel about myself, in that I felt I looked good and I could approach these girls confidently. I know it is mental to a large extent, but for those of you who lack confidence because of your body, work out! Not only will it improve your success rate, but you feel so much better about yourself, which is the most important thing!

I can and cant relate. Im a skinny guy but for some reason ive come to EMBRACE my skinniness. Im never gonna be a meathead, nor do i want to be.

I could use an extra 20 pounds and some working out, which im in the process of doing. And im sure my confidence will skyrocket after i reach my goal. but you do bring up a good point that working out DOES really help.

Word up .

You're South Asian, aren't you? Like East Asians and Euros, the best look for you to rock is the muscular but TRIM and TONED look. The idea is to look sleek and mean. Like the male model Marcus Schenkenberg. Do a search on him, I work out visualizing my body looking like his. There's no need to look like Goldberg or Stone Cold Steve Austin, in my opinion.


The muscle-bound look only works for *some* white and black guys, it usually looks stupid on other races, for some reason. Besides, it's not how big you are or how much you weigh. Most people work out to not get pushed around by others, and for that you need FUNCTIONAL strength. Speed, agility, and explosive strength. Dead weight does nothing.


FYI I'm East Asian and I'm about 5'9" and 157 pounds. I'm looking to get it to 165, then STOP. There is no need for a man my size to get bigger than that.

I found the best advise for getting built, or cutting up is in the health and fitness section of this forum. Diesels guides to bulking and cutting are great, and all you will need

Yeah, Jake the Snake is right.

The best look for anybody is that Olympic Swimmer look. Lean but Toned.

Working out too much and getting that "bulldozer" look is not what your goals should be. It looks really stupid on 90% of men, and only a few can get away with that look.

My main reason for working out is because it pumps me up(mentally), gets the endorphins kickin, releases stress, and makes me feel good overall (like a JOLT of some really good caffeine)

if for ANYTHING..you should be working out (cardio & lifting) for mental & physical health

The added bonus is after you get some bulk/definition..that just makes the RUSH even better

Well I mean, the guy is 6'2", so he's gonna look a bit lanky. But overall it's a very good look. Good for fashion, good for team sports, etc. The muscle bound types look like shyt in a suit, and most other fashionable clothes. But I guess one could add or subtract 5-10 pounds from that basic frame (the model's) to suit to taste. But there is absolutely no real reason for a 6'2" guy to weigh more than 185-195 pounds in lean shredded muscle, other than extreme body dymorphism (sp?), which one should seek treatment for.

A shorter man, say 5'10"-6 feet might want to shoot for about 170-180 pounds.

And men shorter still, say 5'7"-5'9", should shoot for about 155-170 in lean shredded muscle. That way, one will be mobile, active, flexible, and healthy, while filling out clothes nicely.

Yeah Jake, I'm Indian although everyone thinks I'm Latino. But I feel you totally....I'm 167 right now. I think a little of it is just excess bulk right now, I'm trying to cut up and be like 164, that would be ideal. It's easy to get bigger, it's toning that's the hard part.

You'll have some girls who just prefer meatheads, but in general and especially in the classier environments, a guy with a lean, toned body with good bone structure will get silly number of ladies...

Throw his name up into google for a number of better pictures
