Back in the olden days we used to work the same muscle groups 2 or 3 times per week.
Typically it was arms and upper body Monday, Wednesday and Friday (same exact exercises each day), and legs on Tuesday and Thursday (again same exercises each day).
So every exercise for arms would be done 3 times per week.
Is that still advisable? It seems to me that current thought is that doing each muscle group only once or twice a week is more beneficial.
Can someone clear this up for me? If I do normal curls, for example, how many days out of the week should they be done?
