First time posting here, although I have been lurking for quite a while.

I need some advice on a girl. I'm a sophmore and the girl in question is a junior. She keeps sending me signals that she likes me, but I'm not sure if it's just a huge joke. Reasons being:

1. Well, she's a junior...
2. She's around an 8 or 9 (compared to the rest of the school) wheras I'm a 4 or 5
3. She only occasionally even talks to me, other times, she'll just outright ignore me.

I'm just wondering how I should procede with this...

Do you two have any mutual friends? If you do, ask one of them what they think.

If she tends to smile a lot around you and is interested in what you have to say, that could be a sign.

Well, she's hardly ever around me. She has actually said she likes me several times, but I still think that she's just joking. I do know one of her friends that is on the track team with me, so I could ask her. Then again, I'm not sure if this friend likes me too because she shows signs too.

quit worrying and thinking so much. your ****ing nothing right now. establish that. look at yourself. your a loser, sitting here racking your brain over who likes you and who doesnt. your pathetic. which is what i used to be, putting me in a great position:

youve got nothing to lose.

ask her out. she said she likes you, and unless her friends laugh hysterically when your name comes up, its not a joke. dont go asking her if she likes you and ****, act like a man. ask her number. call two days later. preferablly a monday tuesday or at latest wednesday. ask her out for friday or saturday night. a movie is safe but boring, if you drive ask around for parties and if you dont drive she surely does. call her up, tell her you guys should get to some parties or whatever saturday night, and if she laughs and says no or whatever say 'not my loss' hangup and laugh at the rejection.

then move on.

you got better things to do than waste your life wondering, its such a misuse of time.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

You know what, I think I will the next time I see her. Which might be for awhile since I hardly ever see her anyway. Oh well, guess I won't worry about it until it comes up.
