simply by depleting all these things and like the Gurus say here "running the tight ship" and squeezing the supply of all of your things to make them valuable?

Your goal is also to make her desperate for sex. I personally when was not aware of this principle I use to thought that if I would not give her sex , she would go some where else to get sex. ( I was insecure).
