Do women "need" it as much as men?

I'm not sure, it always seems the same. Start of the relationship; sex is great then it falls off until eventually you're married for 10 years and having sex once a month.

It's almost like women keep men happy with sex and use it but don't enjoy it.

I know there are alot of guys who have themselves to blame for taking their women for granted and that's why their sex life is rubbish but for those that don't - is it just enivitable even for those.

BTW - I'm not talking about the start of a relationship when their emotions are running rampant with excitement and love etc but after 3 years in. Then they do enjoy it as much as men.

I know, that's one of my biggest concern. My LTR of almost two years is smooth sailing for now and sex is still great and frequent... Yet, I can feel this thing coming. I just want sex twice a day for the rest of my life and I doubt that she will have the appetite forever.

What will I do then?

Oh well, NEXT and move seems like an obvious answer but then why start an LTR in the first place if that is the price to pay? Cheating is pathetic and open relationships never last.

This is just a quick guess, but could biology explain it? A woman, once secured in an LTR or marriage, has her reproductive instincts satisfied, more or less. Her reproductive cycle has fewer oscillations - one egg a month. A man's cycle, well, he has none! He's always got his junk locked and loaded. The female is geared toward reception, not projection. For her, it's recieve and hold. A man, on the other hand, is designed to get his seed out...and he always has plenty of it. Biology is prolific, but has no mind for waste, so the man is always moved by the instinct to spread that seed. Hence, a more consistent and urgent desire for sex...

Psychologically, men are dictated by action. Women, moreso, by passivity and abstraction (or simple insanity...)

From what I've been able to see, yes. When a chick is feelin' ya, absolutely. I mean it's possible men might need it a little more given scientific studies that have supposedly been able to prove so. But yet scientific studies are always changing. One year it's this, the next year it's that. So you can't always put faith in science all the time. It seems women don't need it as much as men because as you probably already know, women are extremely choosy with whom they'll f*ck. So, the naive guy who keeps coming across women who aren't putting out for him, tends to think, "well, she just doesn't need it as much as men", which couldn't be farther from the truth because she DOES, she's just doesn't wanna f*ck HIM.

And they're also VERY secretive and discreet when it comes to you knowing whether or not they're f*cking someone which is another reason why naive guys are so convined they don't need it as much.

First off, men don't NEED sex. Neither do women. The sooner you realize this, the sooner your approaches will be less urgent, the more relaxed you will be able to be around women.

Second...women enjoy sex as much, if not more, than men. Yes, there are women who really don't enjoy sex. This is usually because they've mindf*cked themselves out of enjoying it...they treat it like it's "dirty" or empty or pointless.

Take sex for what it is....something fun to do with the opposite sex. (and a means of reproduction) Make it out to be anything more than that, and you're just tormenting yourself.

Yes, estrogen does 'control' libido - for men: Estrogen have a look at the Functions section here. And while you're at it you may want to have a look at Testosterone; and in particular this:

It may not be a 24/day thing for women like you say it is for men,..but how do you explain when women are incredibly horny to an extent you rarely even see men at?

Because women's sex drive is set in a cyclic pattern that matches their ovulatory cycle, whereas men's reamains realitively constant and subject to environemental arousal. Women are significantly more prone to arousal (and sexual activity) when they're at the peak of their fertility in their ovulatory cycle (i.e. their highest point of testosterone production) - usually week 2 after their last menstruation. A parallel to this is the "morning wood" cycle in men. The highest testosterone levels men experience is within the first hours before and after waking from sleep. This is due to the body's buildup of hormones and endocrines (serotonin, melotonin, etc.) needed to produce recouperative, restful sleep. Thus the tendency to wake up with a raging hard-on.

The perception that women display more sexual arousal behaviors is only relative to their ovulatory cycle, whereas men's is a constant. That's not to say we all walk around like chodes with a perpetual stiffy, blathering incoherently because we can't think of anything but sex. It is to say that our biologies are different and women's libido follows a bell curve as their testosterone levels fluctuate.

To the question about women liking sex as much as guys...I think they definitley like it just as much and want it just as much. Most chicks will lie about any of their fantasies and how bad they actually want **** (or even *****).
