Lol I guess this post would really affirm the "alphamale" archetype. FFS she went after JFK an extremely well known womanizer, John Wayne who was an ideal man and etc...
"'He never said "I love you" or anything like that,' she recalled.
'One rather expects that kind of thing, those words, even if delivered in perfect insincerity."
This struck me so much because its a lot of what we preach here. Don't say meaningless expressions on love, but be able to show it through your actions. You don't need to say insincere and countless I love you's or buy worthless flowers.
"'He was a very rich man but he never gave me even a simple token, like a scarf,' said Dietrich.
'I think he wanted to be sure you really liked him, just for himself alone. He wasn't very comfortable when it came to women.'"
This part also...You can tell he wasn't an AFC who just showered his girl with sh!t.
"She had been enamoured of John Wayne, her co-star in The Spoilers, filmed in 1942. When she first saw him, she was struck by his 'broad shoulders and flat behind', but what most appealed to her was that he wasn't vain or arrogant.
'Far from it, he was insecure as an actor,' she said"
This I thought was kinda weird though. In PUA and even this website, we preach irrational self confidence. But then we have this dude just being him for him and she loved him for it. I guess there is a lesson to be learned from this.
