Work back and legs on the same day. Leg workouts work your back too, so doing squats one day, deadlifts the next is not the best idea.Originally posted by DJDamage
Is it possible to work your legs and shoulders one day and the following day work you back and bicepts? will that give me enough rest or will it hurt my progress?

If you are going to work your two largest muscle groups on the same day, prepare for some heavy DOMS (delayed onset muscular soreness) not to mention the amount of calories this will consume. So make sure you load up an hour or 2 before you hit the gym. Then pile on the protein afterwords.Originally posted by MetalFortress

Depends on how used to the lift you are, although it would do a number on your back. Agreed on the calories. I don't even bother with deadlifts anymore personally. Olympic lifts give a good enough workout to the same muscles, enough that I maxed out at 308 lbs on my first day ever deadlifting.Originally posted by Lomi

Unless you're pushing candy-ass weights, I disagree. With heavy poundages your form doing squats AND deadlifts will suffer and increase the likelihood of injury and decrease the efficiency of the workout.Originally posted by MetalFortress

i agree w/ that. No way you can do deads and squats the same day heavy.Originally posted by Warboss Alex
