Master Don Juan
this is implied in a lot of what we already talk about but it explicitly popped into my head a few days ago:
modern, go get 'em, successful women are genuinely a threat to men because they FORCE US TO BECOME BETTER!
if it's true that women are only attracted to men that they feel are in ways, superior to them (modern women would never admit this of course), then the issue is that as women get better, more powerful, more able, it forces men to become EVEN BETTER.
as a species, i think that this is a good thing. in order to mate now, everybody's gotta take it up a notch!
but for the individual guy - this is pretty rough.
it used to be that as men, we competed with each other. and as tough as that was, it was intuitive and expected.
but now, what the heck... we gotta compete with women! and the only way we're gonna nail them is if we cross that finish line ahead of them!
IN FIGHTING FOR THEIR RIGHTS, WOMEN HAVE MADE IT INADVERTENTLY HARDER ON THEMSELVES TO FIND AN ATTRACTIVE MATE!
and it makes it more likely that men run up against the judgment and resentment of females who think they can do better.
i say all of this without any hint of bitterness or condemnation on women or their liberty. i'm just marveling at this most unexpected of consequences.
you read all over the place about how women are outshining men academically and it's only a matter of time before that translates to the workplace.
in the past, and for the less evolved men in the world, this threat registered subliminally and resulted in chauvinism.
women fought back with feminism. and while it nullified (to a degree) the unfairness of primitive and hostile men, it also emasculated men in general and prevented them from developing as they should.
