Why women like chick movies?

Have you guys ever wondered why women like chick flics? This girl I'm interested in told me that she was into wedding movies. She told me this specifically, and I believe her because she's into weddings as well. Why do you think a girl would be into this stuff, when these movies usually involve the AFC getting the girl in the end?

well believe it or not..women have an almost innate need and fantasy of romance..

the theme of these movies is ROMANCE

and what exactly IS Romance?

I found this quote really interesting

"A Romantic person indulges his IMAGINATION... in this CREATION.... of an IDEAL LIFE...very dIFFERENT....from the ACTUAL."

so the way I see it..women imagine a surreal life of happiness and bliss (usually associated with some ideal man bringing them to this ideal state)

The state is happiness...and if they see some man who can bring them to a state of blissfull happiness..thats what they are attracted to...

thats why C/F is so important..because women associate laughing..with being "happy"

so if you can make a woman laugh and think she is happy due to your presence..you have won the battle

Once a girl gets out of college, for MOST of them, their lives revolve around trying to get married to someone. Have you seen how many Bride mags there are. They read this shiit for like two years leading up to the wedding. Just for one Fuucking day.

These movies usually have something to do with love everlasting.

Once in awhile, I even like one.

The romantic in me.

Interesting, I always thought that one good way to get a girl when you're ready to settle down is to maybe take some of the ideas in these movies and turn it into reality. These are usually very imaginative, and they have good ideas.

if you think about it pecker,

you will see a theme in these romance movies..an AFC going ape sh1t over some girl..

who wouldnt want someone going nuts over them? could you imagine some decent looking chick..going bonkers over you? buying you gifts? being the perfect little girl friend? competing with other girls for your attention??

thats all these romance movies are to women..fantasies of AFC's going nuts for them..and doing anything they want.. in the name of love..

its almost like an EGO fantasy..having fantasies of some chump going crazy over you...

If that's a fantasy, then doesn't that mean that if you fulfill that fantasy, she's likely to fall for you?

when you see these movies..there is some star like brad pitt or ben affleck who is the AFC hehe

I think most women who watch these romance flicks already have a guy in mind who they wouldnt mind taking the "role" in that movie..

Romance movies stir up images of being wanted, being desireable, finding a good looking guy they can connect with..someone who can make them happy..and raise 100 of babies with

its mere fantasy. for women..yet it somehow fuels their desires to find someone that fits the image of the hero in those movies..

kinda like those stupid harlequinn novels

They want some strong, confident tough guy who is also AFC to sweep them off their feet

No..all romance movies tell you is that WOMEN like to be sought after..AFC or DJ..

women fantasize about being desired..especially by someone attractive

thats why so many byatches string men along for the hell of it..they like "fans"

But if a woman's fantasies are fulfilled by you, won't she fall for you? Sounds like very anti-DJ stuff here.

this is true. let's look closer..

THIS is the important part of the sentence. and this is where a DJ comes into play. someone attractive is someone a woman is ATTRACTED to. so never, eva, "AFC" a woman who is NOT into you.

and it is not afc to be romantic, or to show desire. it is afc to do so without a woman responding in return, or in other words, doing too much to soon. abc, right?

Working under the umbrella that you're a woman, iqqi, I think that I'm more concerned that you seem to say it's ok to "AFC" a girl who is into you. You mean to tell me that a girl wants an AFC if she's into him? Does that mean that once the girl shows interest, you're saying the guy should be more AFC than DJ? I somewhat agree with that, but still sounds like playing with fire...this place has brainwashed me!

iniating too much. let her initiate some things. and too much differs for some people.

i'd say as a rule of thumb, instead of romantic gestures being rewarded by higher IL, higher IL should be rewarded by romantic gestures. never go over the top unless it is the right circumstance (engagement serious).

and never eva be TOO romantic, or too anything, in the beginning of a new "friendship". this scares people away. never be cheesy.

romanctic gestures should be rare gems, otherwise they lose their impact. Gems, i say. and you don't give gems at the beginning of a realtionship do ya!

that would be too much.

I don't know if many girls "initiate" anything ever. It seems like only the really outgoing types would do anything like this.

I also think that the reason why this stuff is even an issue is that many girls always see that the grass is greener on the other side, so if you give them one thing (lots of attention), they want the other (less attention), and vice versa. Sort of like a spoiled kid who always wants to get their way. That's the way it seems to me sometimes.
