why lie?

I was supposed to meet my soon to be exgirlfriend at 5:10pm last night. As I was pulling into the parking lot I saw her leaving on the other side in her car. I waited for her till 5:10 and then left sensing she was playing some stupid game because she knows how much I hate it when she's late and she always tells me she will stop being late. She calls me at about 5:20pm and asks where am I? I tell her I saw her leaving and so I started going home to which she swears she wasn't there earlier. I can't believe her blatant lies and it makes me really sick of her. She just lies and lies, over and over. Then she has the nerve to tell me that she doesn't trust me. Can anyone tell me why does a person lies so much? Low self esteem?

Because she doesn't give a sh*t about you? A better question would be to ask why you're still with this chick when she obviously cares so little for you that she won't even tell you the truth.

I think you have a few issues yourself to deal with - why do you get mad if someone's late? Its not like she is going to change for you if she is typically late. Don't get mad just next her if that is important to you. Why do you assume things without asking first? Seems like you are high maintenance.

Irregardless, you two don't get along very well so just end it and move on to someone you are more compatible with - these problems won't get better with time.
