well guys, this is a thread one should discuss in much greater detail.
I find this problem fascinating because I also belong to the catagory (8.5 on amihot).
There must be a way to use this to our advantage. Let me contribute this general view of mine:
number1:
the gym:
get into cardio exercise. not too much muscle volume, i'm talkin about more active movement. (improve energy level)
get that heart working. try circuit training as well. or running.
but!...maintain a weight where you feel secure about yourself.
number2:
(uh oh. this is gonna be really hard
DON'T MASTURBATE regularly (maybe only once a week, or even more rarely)
this changes something in your hormone levels. masturbating can be like a sedating drug. damn it. no kidding.
My personal opinion at the moment is that masturbating regularly keeps you feeling sad-guilty, down and ...well comfortable. that is your little evil devil inside telling you: "oh we really don't neeeeeeed to approach anyone; let's just jack off tonight and eeeeeeeverything will be just fine!!!"

I tried this combination out last week and it made me totally mad...but in a positive sense: more active, ****y and all of a sudden i could look people staight in the eye. like: burn them.
My subconcious self was probably saying: "I feel loaded, happy, and POWERFUL"
this might seem ridiculous but try it out. on the long run it might change your aura. I really felt like a different person.
being happy is also closely linked to stress factors.
these stress factors must be diminished by spending energy. ->cardio excersise
the dues and duty won't dissappear but you will feel more in control.
sometimes, it's the little things that make a lot of difference.
try not to masturbate.
