why do banned members keep posting?

if someone was banned for continuing to break forum rules, why do they continue to come back and post ?

example :

i thought when allen banned a member , it banned their entire ip address.

if they didnt take the site in enough consideration in the first place and got banned, why would they go to great links like go to someone elses computer or change servers just to come back to this site to post again.


members that encourage banned members to return should be sent some sort of warning message to stop.

That's basically what I see in about 90% of posters here and 200% of the banned posters.

Anyways, it's actually very easy to do without changing servers or going to someone else's house lol. All you have to do is configure your browser to use a proxy server. Many of which you can find addresses for on the internet.

penkitten...I was a witness to what transpired between your boyfriend and the banned member in question. Your boyfriend was instigating him. That member was here shortly after I joined back in 2001. NEVER did I ever see that person waste his time with flame wars. He always offered input and advice to people and he was always open to the opinions of others. He was angry because your boyfriend kept deleting his posts. Then your boyfriend taunted the member in question until they got so angry they reacted to the provocation for the first time ever.

Your boyfriend also kept sending me unwanted PMs, harassing me, insulting me and calling me names. When I told him to leave me alone and stop contacting me he continued and insisted he had the right to do whatever he wanted simply because he was a moderator. What your boyfriend did is just as bad as what the banned member in question did and if you want the other guy banned then your boyfriend needs to be banned too.

It's really not that hard. Assuming they're using cable like comcast, which a lot of people do, you just need to do something very simple to the modem. Don't really want to go into more detail.

I simply think that it should be known what really happened the other night. Since I witnessed it and am 100% confident that the member in question didn't deserve to be banned, I felt compelled to respond.

wyld , i saw these so called unwanted pms. they looked like a courtesy of the reason something you posted was cleaned up for all the off topic things and your post accidently got swept away with that but for you to please stay on topic if you reposted . it was not harrassment in the least. i think it is nice for a moderator to let someone know why a thread is moved, deleted or closed. as moderators, they have a job to clean up the forum dont they?

this thread is about why banned people continue to post at this site.
it is not about "why crowes got banned" or why prl got banned.

quite frankly, we all forget in a few days why someone was banned. we just want to know why they come back. there are other internet sites that are sorta like this out there. heck even wyld, herself, has a site. aw heck wyld, give crowes my mod spot at your site so he can have another community to come home to. its ok i dont mind.

BS...he was rude in the first one and I responded telling him not to PM me, that private contact from him was unwelcome and that I would consider any further contact harassment. He responded by calling me names and telling me he'd do whatever the hell he wanted because he was a moderator.
