Why cant we post attachments?

Im trying to post my picture for fun...why cant i attach it?

My guess would be that it would take up too much space... you can try uploading to a free image hosting site and providing the link in a post, though.

1.) Bandwidth...allowing flie uploads uses a lot of it.

2.) Some fools would end up posting illegal content or spam pictures which would mean more work and headaches for Allen to babysit.

3.) Someone would inevitably use the ability to post images and files as a means to pass along a virus or upload a code snippet that totally screws up the forum or DJ Bible. (The whole DJ Bible was erased once by a poster a few years ago)

So yeah...it's pretty easy to understand why uploads aren't allowed.

Well on Something awful, you gotta pay an aditional 10 bucks (+10 for joining) to be able to upload.

I kinda wish that we could use tags, but it's really not the end of the world.

Or you could just become a mod, then you can upload. But shhh
