Serious question, how does sexuality have a correlation w/ color?

Because pink is considered a very feminine color and that is a mentality that has been deeply ingrained into society. Not too complicated.

It isn't okay for men to like pink? Look around; men everywhere are wearing pink. Liking pink isn't cool anymore because it's totally passe. If frat guys are wearing pink everyday, you know it's past its prime.

you haven't noticed in your years of life that pink is a girl color? It's been like this ever since your elementary days I'm sure.. Pink and purple are female colors.. I don't know why it's just like that

Its very simple

Colors have a psychological effect on people colors like pink and purple have a psychological effect on people. In fact studies were done that showed that men in gyms with purple or pink walls were weaker than men with grey walls.

Pink is the color of the vagina, it embodies femininity. Its a shade of red, women are better at seeing colors than men. Its a feminine symbol. Bold colors define men, not shades of colors. It all goes into the fact that women can see and get more of a response out of shades of colors than men. Ever notice masculine colors are bold primaries (blue, red) while feminine colors are shades such as pink or baby blue. Its seeing the finer details, instead of a window, a window with decorations, instead of a bathroom, a bathroom with a particular scent, a porcelain doll there, an extravagant shower curtain there that is their focus. This is the essense of women. You wont see a tribe in the world of men that wear hot pink.

Any man in my presense that wears pink gets a verbal ass kicking by me. Is the media and pop culture that tried to asexualize everyone that prevalent? What mentally goes into a man's head to wanna wear such a color? I'd really like to know.

Have you ever gotten more of the urge to face-kick someone when you see a guy wearing a bright pink polo with the collar popped up? Who in their right f***ing mind thinks that looks good? If you're going to follow some stupid "popular" trend, at least make it one that's based in good style and not a pathetic attempt to be different just for the sake of being different.

Btw, as for purple, that used to be considered a color that symbolized power and royalty. I myself don't find it to be nearly as feminine as pink, but you'd still be hard-pressed to find me wearing it.

Up until about WWII, men frequently dressed more extravagantly than women, in whatever colors they wanted. Of course, to you guys, all these men were gays, and never got laid, which is why none of us exist now. It's fine for men to wear pink, purple, whatever you want.

What is NOT fine is pink polo shirts with a popped collar. Actually, no popped collar is ever okay, unless you're protecting your neck from the hot midday sun. Collar popping was okay for about half an hour three years ago; why does it take so long for dudes to figure this out?!

1) You all are americans, by definition, you guys have no right whatsoever to speak about fashion. Cause none of you know how to dress.

2) America is usually a year behind Europe when it comes to fashion. I know, I see/meet americans everyday and they are wearing **** that were fashinable in Europe a year ago. But don't worry, Australians suck more than you guys. They are 2 years behind the fashion in Europe.

Well, so keep us ahead of the trends then. What's going on in Europe right now?

This site is like the anti-dandy. If wearing a girly color would shake your sexuality to the core so much, you have more important things to worry about.

That is true. If I am not mistaken, babies cry the most in rooms painted with yellow walls. Colors also have physiological effects as well. Pink has been shown to have a tranquilizing effect. I once picked apart a girl's outfit, telling her the psychological meaning of each element, jokingly asking her why she picked to wear a yellow tie while with a pink watch, which physiologically contradict each other. :p

Except for Germany, it seems, who seem to always be a decade behind America. :D

If you like wearing pink you're probably a boy, not a man.

seriously, i don't understand this whole pink topic.

juggler, the guy i look up to in the community, wore pink at the vid 007 shot at style's book signing...and it was a hot pink shirt

and juggler still macks women left and right.

i don't have any real pink shirts, but one that is like light red stripes and from far away, people have mistaken it for pink...kind of baby pinkish/bluish

dude, who cares...

if you don't like it, don't wear it, end of story...quit b!tching, it's just a color

1. And all Europeans are snobby pricks.

2. Thanks for proving my point. A "year behind" in fashion? Stop talking like a f*cking woman.

I am aware, however, that Europeans in general are more into dressing nicely than Americans. All that means to me is I stand out more here.

Don Jaun message board-- home of the generalizations. Tell me, do you ever wear skirts? high heels? barrettes? head bands? tank tops? makeup? Would you ever give your son a girl's name? Surely not, as you're not bound by society's everchanging arbitrary standards for what's masculine and what's feminine.
