Just wondering if you think that can be an IOI in certain situations, where the girl is trying to signal for you to get her number and get to know her better, or whether you think thats just a casul expression.

Possibly. Could go either way. Assume that it is an IOI. There are plenty of ways to reply to this.

"Who says we're friends in real life?"

"I don't really do facebook. Let me get your number instead..."

etc etc

Facebook is bizarre. I just made one a couple of months ago, and only because everyone kept nagging me too, but it seems like everyone on there just wants to push their friend numbers up. I've met people at parties and barely talked to them, and when I get home I already have a friend request from them. It's just creepy.

that's why I only add ppl who are actually my friends. And I never use it to get girls. Though that being said that's how I began talking to this one girl that now seems interested it me (she was probably interested in me when she added me though).
