Who Pays For Lunch?????

I work at city hall in the commissioners office and this young sexy female that I work with is upstairs in city hall. When I first saw her she introduced herself to me and then said that we should do lunch sometime. I thought that this was just political mumbo jumbo talk. so, i really didn't pay much attention to it. Well, today I saw her at my church and she was looking so fine. I saw her and was like:

Wu: Hey eve
Eve: Hey wu. how are you doing
Wu: I'm okay. how about yourself.
Eve: I'm doing fine (small talk about weekend etc)
Me: That's nice
Eve: Hey, listen we should do lunch sometime.
Me: Okay
Eve: Are you free tomorrow from 12:00 to 1:00
Me: Yeah I am.
Eve: Well I will give you a call at the office tomorrow to remind you.
Me: Okay no problem.

So during tomorrrows lunch am I required to pay or go dutch, or should I expect her to pay for lunch. Any help would be good?

Be ready to pay for yourself, and yourself only. If she goes ahead and pays, I guess you could let her, but you shouldn't do the paying for both.

Hmm...there lots written about this but when youre really there, (in McDonalds right? ) go with how the mood takes you. Judging by the convo *she* DID ask you, so i would let her pay....(dont supplicate her!). When she calls, ask "so where are you taking me..?"

Going Dutch is a bit official (50% everything straight down the middle.), i think its better for just one of you to pay.

...Supposing she does attempt to- you do still have the opportunity to intervne and foot the bill....However, if the date goes well you could always suggest that you'll pay next time you both go out....

PS-If the date goes really crap- dont pay!

hey Wu, don't pay for lunch. She asked you = shes using your valuable time. Just playfully say "hey, I am making such a huge sacrifice going with you to lunch today so, how do u plan to make it up to me? and paying for lunch will not do it." Say something along that line. I rarely pay even if i ask the girl to lunch, I somehow came up w/ a few reasons and managed to get her to pay.

I sort f agree with an above poster, be prepared to pay if need be, don't offer though. Have her pay, otherwise go dutch. If she really is unable to pay for you,(unlikely) pay but lay a bit of a joking guilt trip on her, say something to the affect of "you asked me to lunch, how is it I end up paying." Then offer to show her how to really take someone out and see what happens.
