Who or what is Pook?

Hi everyone, this is my first post in the tips section and I'd like to share a little insight with you that I had and see if that could help us somehow.

Since I came here many posts changed my life but Pook is the guy who had the greatest impact. I read all of his articles and after a while also realized this discussion going on here about him.

There are three main statements I found:

As you think, you shall become.
Unite dream and day.
and, this isn't a quote, use your imagination properly.

So what is Pook? Pook is not a real person. Pook is an imaginary person. Like some kind of fantasy guy. The guy who uses the nickname Pook on this board created the Pook to help himself. Pook existet in his mind and told him what to do by writing posts. This is how he helped himself. And slowly he united dream and day by becoming more and more like the Pook, like this image in his mind because as he thought he became.

Why am I talking about all of this? Just another Pook worshipper? No. I think I can use this and you guys can do it too.

Notice how funny people usually have some kind of funny uncle? People that are with you can shape your life. They DO shape your life. And if you want to be like them, you become like them. So the kid who thinks highly of his really funny uncle becomes funny, because he learns how to be funny by imitating him.

So if you know a Don Juan you just have to hang out with him alot and you will become like him by first imitating him and then slowly creating your own stile.

You don't know a Don Juan? No problem. Create one in your mind. This guy who became really famous on sosuave.net created a Don Juan in his mind and called him the Pook. And since people tend to forget things he wrote down what pook was about as some kind of advice he could stick to and reread.

This is our chance. This is how you can use your imagination properly. Set yourself a goal, imagine yourself doing something in the future and then unite this dream with the day, with reality, meaning that you walk towards your goal from NOW ON.

So if you want to be an Don Juan, imagine yourself being one. When I go out, I think that I am an aspiring Don Juan and I am on my way to get closer and closer to a real Don Juan. And what if I fail? I realize that I still have got work to do. Get up, try again and get closer again.

This is our frame. This is how you use your imagination. And don't forget about all of the other guys on this forum that gave great andive. Their advice is going to enhance this image in your mind of yourself and push it into the right direction. The pook also consists of a lot of experience, Anti-Dumps and other peoples posts and so on. This site is going to help you to create this picture in your mind. Use it.

As you think, you shall become.

I have an amusing story to go with this concept, that I will never forget it, and it usually brings a smile to peoples faces. And it's 100% true.


A gentleman working as reporter was given what he consider to be a crap assignment. He was to fly out to Phoenix to interview a retired body builder. No one wanted the assignment, but eventually it was assigned to him anyway.

He met up with the body builder for lunch at the hotel where they were both staying, and began to ask his standard series of questions that he usually asked of athletes. The reporter thought the body builder was a nice and fairly interesting guy, but still really didn't feel this guy very newsworthy. Finally, near the end of the interview, the reporter asked,
"So, what do you plan to do now that you've retired from body building?"

The body builder thought for a second and said "I am going to become the biggest action star in all of Hollywood."

The reporter had to stop himself from bursting out with laughter. In fact, this body builder had just made a movie, and it was an utter disaster. It got some of the worst reviews he'd ever seen. Not to mention, the guy had a monstrous and awkward build, was somewhat goony, and had an extremely thick accent that made him sound silly and difficult to understand. Surely, he can't be serious? But keeping a straight face, the report played along.

"Interesting," the reporter said, "Just how do you intend to do that?"

"Easy," said the body builder, "I'll use the same principles that I used to become successful in body building. I visualized in my mind how a body builder would behave, how they would think, the things they would do, almost as if I already was the greatest body builder in the world-and just did them, everyday. Until eventually, I became the greatest body builder in the world."

The reporter was thoroughly unconvinced, but had to give the guy some credit for his confidence, misguided as though it seemed. He finished writing down the last bit of notes and then rose to and extended his hand.

"Well, good luck with your career, and thank you very much for the interview, Mr. Schwarzenegger."

You are probably over-analyzing the whole Pook thing. Well, hey if that works for you (you know creating your perfect self and slowly integrating him with your actual self) then go for it, man. Just remember it's a spiritual thing and nobody else's business. This means, don't run off and tell all your friends about it because chances are you'll get made fun of.
