How lucky of us not being famous and rich, lol!
Just because WH had problems, it doesn't mean all the other artists have problems.
Would it make you feel better about yourself?
This is what I was thinking as well... lol.

Those people have more problems than fame and money. Damn..
They're looking for problems and finding them. Also being rich and successful it's far easier for them to get drugs and get hooked on them.

Oh poor Whitney everyone says. She knew what she was getting into. It caught up to her.

If the roles were reversed and it was a man, nobody would shed a tear. But from a medical perspective, it’s entirely possible, at the moment of her death and for years beforehand, she was oblivious to the dangers of her behaviors. She was a long-time alcoholic and alcohol, along with hard drugs, destroys the prefrontal cortex of the brain (where you make decisions) and erodes synaptic plasticity.
As dependence grows, alcoholics also lose the ability to properly regulate their behavior. This regulation is the responsibility of the prefrontal cortex, which is charged with keeping the rest of the brain apprised of the consequences of harmful actions. But mind-altering substances slowly rob the cortex of so-called synaptic plasticity, which makes it harder for neurons to communicate with one another. When this happens, alcoholics become less likely to stop drinking, since their prefrontal cortex cannot effectively warn of the dangers of bad habits.

This is why even though some people may be fully cognizant of the problems that result from drinking, they don’t do anything to avoid them. “They’ll say, ‘Oh, my family is falling apart, I’ve been arrested twice,’” says Peter Kalivas, a neuroscientist at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. “They can list all of these negative consequences, but they can’t take that information and manhandle their habits.”

It’s easy for people to say, as I have heard, “She shouldn’t have done crack!” (who could disagree?), but at this time it appears she didn’t die from any illicit drug. She may have died from mixing prescription medication (no word yet if the prescriptions were valid) with alcohol and her brain was unable to judge the newly posed dangers. So in one sense you are right, twenty five years ago she knew the dangers of alcohol, but in time she became incapable of seeing reality for what it is.

say what you want about her drug use but there is not a singer in the last 20 years that can hold a candle to that woman's voice. was truly a once in a generation talent as far as vocals.

Finally, someone on this board gets it.

Every homo on this board hates feminism, yet gossips like a freaking homo themselves.

The lady had talent, and she's famous for her talent. Now quit being women who nitpicks at irrelevant things.

It's a sad story, but not nearly as sad as millions of people dying every day from starvation, war and disease - phenomena which for the most part are preventable. But it doesn't make as much of a media wave as a famous person ODing ..SMH. Our society is ass backwards

america sooner or later is going to wake up to this perscrption drug problem. america is addicted to pain killers. literarlly.

woman, smoked crack off and on for damn near 2 decades, starts popping pills and poof. gone. put that in perspective.

everyone thinks of drug rehab and you think of people off the street, homeless crackheads getting shelter. you run in any rehab right now and anywhere between 50-75% of the people in there are normal everyday people who are on pills and can't stop. amy the girl that works at red lobster. joe the insurance salesman. sam the computer tech. Alicia the beautician, just normal everyday people who are hooked.

it's so "clean" and cute and chique. the drug industries has the country by the balls. it's a joke. you get popped with some xanax you weren't prescribed for you are a cute girl you blush at the judge a few times and you get mandated to some AA meetings and that's it.

when I lived in rehab I saw 3 people die. one actually was my next door neighborhood. I saved one guy from dying b y telling the people who ran it i saw some one walking down the stairs and he looked like he was out of it. he had od'ed and i caught him just in time

every last one of those 4 people.. pills. pills kill.

you may or may not agree with some of the perspectives i have on women but if you ever listen to me about anything I ever tell you... please.. do not abuse or use or play around with pills. it's no joke son. seriously. at all. The stuff I saw first hand with people on that, i will never forget.

around thanksgiving last year i was having trouble sleeping my schedule was all out of wack. my wife thought she would be helpful and got me some little gneric sleeping pills over the counter. non addictive, etc. i said you know how bad can it be. so i took one that night and lo ad behold. bam. slept like a baby. that lasted for what.. 3 days. i took one the that night.. wasn't going to sleep. so i took another one. lol by the time i was done with the bottle i was popping 4 at a time. non addcitve my black ass. after that i said you know what i'm just going to have to figure this out myself.

Confusion in heaven today as Whitney Houston tries to explain to Michael Jackson why 5 year old crack is bad.
