White Castle burgers

I bought some of these things from my local grocery store and I have to admit I was very suprised at how good they tasted for a frozen product. That movie Harold and Kumar got me thinking about them and the box was like 3.19 for 6 burgers so i figured I'd give it a shot. They're pretty tasty burgers!... not so healthy but hey you only live once right.

Has anyone actually ever been to or seen a White Castle restarunt itself? I'm from Maryland originally and I'm pretty sure I've seen one in my lifetime, but didn't know what it was (maybe too young maybe just didn't know). Do the restarunt bugers taste any different from the store bought ones?

They're pretty much the same. The store bought may have something extra to extend the shelf life but taste and nutrition wise they are pretty identical.

They're too damn small. If they made them same size as big macs, i would live off them.

And that Harold and Kumar movie was a 2 hour commercial for white castle.(very funny one though)

I've heard they're fvcking nasty. There isn't one near where I live, not that it'd matter to a vegetarian like myself.

But I've heard that if you buy one, they're extremely greasy. If you buy one, try this:

- Lock your fingers together, so that your hands form a "V" shape.

- Hold a White Castle hamburger in between your palms, while your fingers are still locked.

- Squeeze the burger very, very hard. Be sure to hold it over a plate or something else that can get dirty.


I've heard that if you do that, you'll literally create a small puddle of grease. I don't know about you, but I think that's very disgusting.

I haven't tried this myself, so I don't know how true that is. However, I wouldn't be the least surprised if I were to learn that's really the truth.

Abbott i'm sure that test can be applied to any fast food burger and yeild the same results. Being a vegitarian I'm sure you dissaprove a great many fast food chains but to each his own.

I was just at the white castle website... seems I won't be going to one soon. I like fast food but the closest white castle for me is like St. Louis. I'll just stick to In and Out, they're comparable i suppose. Man do those Chicken Rings and Onion Chips look tasty though!

i think its a chain mosly on the eastcoast. im over here in california. man ill bet if i knew that movie was coming out...id open a white castle right before that movie came out and make a boatload of money!!

The only time I've been to White Castle was when I was in Kentucky visiting my grandparents when I was in high school. I wasn't impressed.

In-N-Out is the sh!t though.

I suppose I have no grounds to complain actually. In-N-Out does rock pretty hard. Sometimes the wait is kind of annoying though, I get pissed. But a double double with grilled onions and those fresh cut fries, man it is f*cking awesome!

I saw a guy eat a 9 by 9 though I almost threw up right then and there. That's just over the top!

I love em. If you grew up with em you love em. If you made it to adulthood without trying them in general you hate em.

I miss them because they don't have them here.
