I have since developed a lactose intolorance to dairy especally milk and have been taking lactose pills that have helped end the bloating and loose stools or should say it's getting better less hassel.

Now my question is, Whey is from dairy if I understand this right, correct? If so, if I substuted milk in my shakes and replaced with water would this make a difference as far as not having to take the lactose pills or is it something I would just have to experiment with myself.

Dropping the milk would most definitely be worth a shot. What brand/type of whey are you using? Knowing this would help pin down any possible problems.

It's the GNC stuff 100% whey.

Where do I get this Whey isolate and do I use water instead with the whey isolate?

I use the raw egg's in the shakes now makes a big difference.

Whey isolate is normal whey except even more care has been taken to remove the milk carbs, therefore it is also higher in protein. Unfortunately it is about double the price.

If you are in America use trueprotein.com to get it. You could also try pea protein isolate from there, it works for some. Do your research before trying that though and look for threads on intensemuscle.com if you consider it.

So a shake would be something like two scoops flavoured whey isolate+(4-8) raw eggs+ a little water. Some use water, some don't dont. I personally do. Number of raw eggs will depend on amount of protein required and goals etc.

I've never used GNC whey, but I'm going to assume that the primary ingredient is whey protein concentrate, right? People with lactose intolerance often have issues with the concentrate.

Most people would recommend trueprotein.com as the best place to get the isolate. WPI, as Quagmire suggested, is much easier on those with lactose intolerance. Also, trueprotein allows you to customize the protein mix that you order, so you may want to consider adding Aminogen, enzymes used to help digestion in many protein powders, to your mix should you decide to go with trueprotein.com.

Thanks guys, this information is great just what I was looking for.

I am about through with GNC their to expensive and they don't seem to care if your a returning customer that spend money and any so called discount is a big farce.

I'll look into the sites you speak of.

Again very helpful info.

Trueprotein is the best site I have heard in terms of customer service, for Americans.

They are possibly the cheapest as well, you'd be hard pressed to find lower prices.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Oh, also, if you do end up ordering from trueprotein, make sure you get somebody's discount code for an extra little discount. I've seen it on a few members' signatures on this forum, and you can probably find plenty on trueprotein's forum.

Thanks Zeal for that I will definitely consider that.

Quick question for you or others here have you ever contacted them through email? If so, how long did it take for a reply? I am still waiting and I emailed them last night or just before my last post.

I boycotted GNC 2 years ago...because of the poor service and the fact I was a returning customer too. I now go to Vitaminshoppe and DPSnutrition.net for stuff I need.

I have a lactose problem too. I take Muscle Milk or the Vitamin World brand protein. Both are lactose free. They are good too.
