Hi everyone, newbie here.. :nervous: :)

Bit of background, im 5ft 10 and 203 pounds. Im overweight my belly is 42" more or less. Over the past few years ive suffered from depression that tended to throw my eating habits all over the place (mostly eating lots) to the point i put weight on so fast ive got stretch marks all over me

Anyway, things change. In December of last year i weighed 224 pounds and i decided to loose weight, gain some self conficence etc

My daily habits are

Morning - cerial (weetos if it matters)
Lunch - generally an apple or some other fruit (its not that i dont want to eat, im not actaully hungry..)
Tea - anything thats around, i try to steer clear of fast food but sometimes is chips etc. If it is rubbish food i try to keep the size down and have some salad etc.
I dont snack atall and drink plenty of water, tend never to eat past 8pm when i can help it. I dont go out drinking much atall either

Then 2-3 times i week i work on a rowing machine for 20mins or so and do situps, pushups etc. Total workout time is about 40-60mins

Anyway, heres the question. It was all going untill mid feb where the scales just stopped at about 200 pounds. Ive put on some muscle mass (ive got muscles appering on my arms) but my gut etc hasnt gone down anything. So Its now over a month and still no change.. why has it stopped working?

Cheers for the advice dude, my bike is getting repaired soon so ill be using that a fair bit once the sun comes out of its hiding place. Ive also got a 3 week holiday comming up soon that will give me time to concentrate on it more.

So i guess that will help. I know not to expect anythign instant, i feel if made decent progress so far because before i was a weak ass nothing :p

KillaPetehog gave excellent advice, but fish actually do have quite a bit of fat. Fortunately it's monounsaturated fat, which is very healthy :) I'd also be careful about mercury content - eating more than 3 or 4 servings of fish a week can be potentially harmful. Especially albacore tuna. If you want to eat tuna, I recommend chunk light.

Here's a good article I just googled (though it focuses mostly on pregnant women and children):
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file=/c/a/2004/03/20/MNG355OKV51.DTL

"Government test results have found that albacore tuna had mercury levels three times higher than the chunk light tuna. The advisories that resulted from those findings represent "a conservative approach," Crawford said."
