When a friend isn't loyal?

Hey guys, i'm new to the forums and all, and i'll probably recieve responses telling me to be a man and make my own decision and all... But i'm kinda stumped on this question.

So anyways, theres this girl that i like, and i was working on. And i've been tellin this friend of mine about how i liked her and stuff. So on my birthday, we went out to celebrate with a couple of drinks. This girl was there, and since it was my birthday and everyone was buying me drinks, i wasn't really paying attention to what was going on the background. It turns out that when i was busy getting my drinks, my good friend goes behind with the girl i like and hooks up with her. Now i happened to walk in on them,and got pretty angry. I'm not the type of guy that would yell at my friend, (my other friends say that i'm too nice of a guy) so i just kept it to myself but showed that i was pretty pissed off.

Now i'm pissed off at both my friend and the girl because they both knew i liked her. The girl says shes sorry, and so does my friend. But i dont know what i shoudl do. I'm kinda dissapointed and mad at the same time becuase i didn tthink that my friend would do that to me. I dont know how to act towards them. It's summer and my good friend already left but the girls still here. shes' leaving for good back to Atlanta Georgia, and i'm still relunctant to talk to her. Should. Shes been a friend, and i was thinking, even if i dont get her as a girl, i dont wanna break the friendship and all... So should i talk to her and pretend nothign happened? or not? Also, i'm really not sure what i shoudl give her as a good bye present. I was originall gonna give her a picture with a frame of me and her at prom, but now i'm not sure.

I'd appreciate if i wasn't riduculed in here but rather given advice... Cuz while i was reading some of these posts, it makes me hesitant to post.

b/c if u dont do anythin you are taking way too much crap from your friend

1. dont tell anyone how you really feel about woman

2. if your friend did that he aint a friend at all

i had a friend that did that to me, i was thinking what should i do, like the situation that you are in. I ended up not really thinking at all and breaking his nose. THAT was the best decision i ever made

my true friends backed me up and he was in the **** house for a while.

Well, the thing is, i'm stuck in the dilemma of whether or not i have the right to do so. Like, i liked the girl, and i know she didnt like me back. she liked my friend. But the thing is, i'm mad at the fact that he didnt ask me or talk to me about whether or not it was alrigh tor not. I know i can't help it if the girl likes him, but still, my firend should have enough respect for me to ask me or even ask for my consent. It's really bothering me right now, and i think its ironic how the day before he hooked up with the girl, i took care of him when he was puking all over the place becuas ehe drank too much.. I treated him as one of my good friends if not one of my best.. becuase i've known him for 5 years now.. but i thin kthats just so sad..

Well, you've now discovered an wolf in sheeps clothing. Learn from your mistake of taking too much time just to grow some balls. The only thing that stopped you from getting that girl was you. it wasn't your friend. true, he should have been loyal, but now we've just found out he was never a true friend at all.

0. the only thing that stopped you from approaching that girl was your lack of confidence in your approach. Be ****y and funny right off the bat. chase the fun not tht girl. do everything as if to amuse yourself.

1. Keep him as a friend, in fact get close to him and learn all you can. if you want learn from him and beat him at his own game, then do so.

2. grow some balls. if someone tells you you're too nice, YOU ARE TOO NICE! grow an attitude, that says i don't give a **** about anything here and now in front of me, but since i'm here, i'm going to bloody well enjoy what I see and hear and experience.

3. be NON-chalant about everything, grow an indifference to situations. Controlling what the outcomes of situations are will show your insecurities for life. Don't hold on too tight.

4. Give her a dildo. It is truely the best present you can get her. why? a. it's funny. b. it shows you have a sexual side. c. it shows you have guts. d. it's something no one would ever give her. e. it will show her how cool you really are. f. i could go on, but i don't want to ruin my keyboard. I've done it myself, to one of my friends. She loved it. and i loved using it... on her.

5. all in all, read the 48 rules of power. Learn it and learn it well.

6. be cool. be cooler than anyone you know. but have the balls to back up your walk and talk.

Theres nothing that i need to learn from him. He's just another guy who's some AFC. He's no real pimp or Dj at all. He's simply another guy. I've got so many better qualities than him, and i dont even need to compare myself with him. I dont even know why i fell for that girl in the first place anyways. I was thinking about lately, and i realized how much of a fool she is to miss out on something good, which is me. i mean, now, i'm pissed, but i'm just not sure on what to do!

Giving her a dildo as her present sounds alittle vulgar. I guess what i wanna do is to end on a good note, not a bad. And i know it would be a rude gift if i did give her a dildo....

Maybe if you woulda approached and DJ'ed her first you wouldn't have that dillema. That still isn't an excuse for what your buddy did to you. Confront him and kick his ass, that chick was off limits and he knew it! However, it sounds like you have oneitis stop worrying about one damn chick and go Sarge some hot chicks, if you have trouble with your approach just think of how mad you were when you saw your friend hooking up and how stupid you felt you didn't do anything... now that is motivation.
