What do you think is the best place to go for fun and for meeting women?

I personally don't like The Quest that much (for meeting women) because the center stage is too prominent and it's hard to talk to girls when the music is super loud.

Any good suggestions for 20 somethings to hang out?

What are the most popular places for college girls?

Hmm, if you are looking for high class (monied) types, I heard that Redstones just south of Ridgedale is a trendy place. So if you go there, look the part.

I haven't been there in about three years but I thought the downtown area was wonderful on Saturday nights. It was in mid-august and the streets were jam packed, there was lots of cruising and there were hotties everywhere.

There was one club (forget name) that is around the corner from the Quest and it has a second floor opening that allows you to see down to the first floor dancefloor. That club was going on! Yeah, the music was loud but it was so easy to just meet a woman by going up to them and just start dancing with them since the club really had a lot of that sort of atmosphere.

My brother and I spent most of our time outside mingling in the crowds on cold approaches. The clubs just didn't compare to what we saw in the streets.

I plan on going back soon but I have just a few more spots to check out before I do that.

I don't believe that you guys haven't tried First Ave. I don't care what anyone says, any guy with half a personality can always meet a HB there. You just need to know how to dance.

Okay, how do you learn how to dance? I know you can take ballroom dance lessons, like the waltz, fox trot, and even east and west coast swing (which were hot again a few years ago.) But club dancing is ... is what? Do any two people dance the same steps? Are there steps? And if you are dancing with girls you've never met before, you have to expect that they probably don't know any "standard" steps either.

So really, what does it mean to know how to dance at clubs. It seems like it means something, but does it really?

Nowadays, all you need is to feel comfortable with people seeing you express how you personally interpret what you hear. Some people may snicker behind your back, but if you brush them off and show that you're having a good time, you'd be surprised at how much confidence you'll exude. Especially since most of the people snickering will be on the sidelines, too afraid to come out onto the dance floor.

That's a pretty amorphous answer, though. I'll venture my interpretation -- it means try to dance like everyone else on the floor. Anyone really interpreting the music in a totally personally unique way will be seen as some sort of freak by most people around him.

So, since there are no "lessons" you can take, no way to really prepare yourself before getting there, the only solution seems to be to go and watch and try to imitate what you see people doing on the floor.

Hmm, it doesn't seem as if my answer was so amorphous at all. You understood perfectly. Also understand that effective sarging requires that you take a situation that seems amorphous or ambiguous in nature and make it work for yourself, just as you did with my answer.

I'll give you another bit of advise, pick up the City Pages and look for either a swing or salsa class. There are tons of them out there. The good thing about them is that they are usually half filled with single women. ALSO the dance studios usually have a party after the class to get to know your classmates a bit better and to practice your new moves.

You sometimes may do the same thing but usually only when grinding. But in a busy crowded club you pretty much mostly grind anyway.

Knowing how to dance...well ummmm...having fun, moving your body/feet/hands in a way that you don't look like a complete fool. You need to have some respect for space, I mean just because you are dancing doesn't mean everyone in a foot around you needs to back off. You just need to go several times to see.

I don't worry about how I look anymore but I have been around long enough to not worry about it. There are some dance tapes out there that can help also. The key is to have fun.
