If your body does not have the need for the muscle, it get rids of it. So if you stop working out, you will go back to where you were before after a amount of time. The muscle will simply turn to flab.

a six pack is no problem u can have this without excericing - as a skinny bastard with a low calorie diet

well yes but i dont think they turn to fat, they just disapear, if you look at anyone who borke there leg after having a cast taken off there leg, their leg will be really really skinny if they are thin because the muslce has gone.

The reason your muscles grow when you work out is because they adapt to the physical stress. By putting them through the pressure of exercise/lifting, they grow.

Once you take that physical work away, they start breaking down. Once you stop slacking off on your diet, they start breaking down.

It turns to flab though. I never said fat. Flab = if you have enough muscle.

Your six pack is there because you worked the fat off your stomach. Fat people have six packs, they are just covered by layers of flab, which is whatll happen to you if you stop working out.

A muscle will only increase or decrease in size. It does not turn into something else:)

Correct. Without the physical stress, your muscles will simply decrease in size, but they won't turn into fat. If you stop lifting, but still have a healthy diet, you won't get fat, but you will lose lean muscle. If your diet is bad, then you will gain fat while losing lean muscle at the same time.

Spare me the biology. The consequences are what's important.

When you get big, it's fairly easy to maintain. But if you stop training and eat the same, you will turn into a tub of lard.

Getting there is hard. Maintenance, is NOT that hard. If you're thinking about getting big and then stopping, don't stop. You don't have to do AS much, but don't stop.
