Call me oldfashioned, but I hate those poncey benches with the pec decks etc.

Go for something simple, strong and pay for quality not gimmicks.

Even a decline is a bit iffy. What you want is something sturdy, inspires confidence in benching heavy weights.

I wouldn't order it online since you can't tell if it is quality material or not. go to a local supplier and look for a simple sturdy bench where you can alter the degree and make it flat, incline or decline. that's all you really need.

The bench is one of the most versitile objects in your weight room. Keep it simple and make sure the quality is good.

I'm also in the market for a bench. (mine is currently bending!)

My two choices are the "commercial" quality benches made by "TUFF STUFF", or "BODY SOLID".

Check out those brands...well crafted, and strong weight equipment.

Yeah, body solid have a good reputation, there stuff is midrange, I wouldn't call it heavy duty commercial, but certainly better than the Weider sh1te.

Check out their power cages, had a look at their basic one the other day and reckon you would need to be a monster to bend one of those.
