my gf has been wanting me to stay home from my job for the last week. where i work, their are very few employees so calling in sick really screws them over. we are getting into fights everyday cuz she wants me to stay home one day this week. i tell her i cant. she gets mad saying i am choosing my job over her. i don't consider my job a career...i will leave one day. but i don't want to disapoint either one. what can i say to her to reassure her i love her but i cant just call in sick cuz she wants me too. or should i do it??

Dude listen to me....Don't be a Wussy tell her you are obligated to make money. Get an attitude with her if you have too. Well is there some particular important reason why she wants you to stay home? If not then too bad for her.

tell her you have a job and thats more important than hanging around all day doing nothing.

i would charm my way out of it, telling her that "honestly, i hate my job, but i'd much rather be there than having to be with you all day" *smiles*

but idk she seems a little too bytchy for that.
