Guys, I saw a very interesting movie last night. It's sort of a cross between a documentary and a feature film called "What The <Bleep> Do We Know?" If you haven't seen it, do yourself the favor. It can explain so many things, like how affirmations work, how the mind affects the reality around us as well as our physical bodies.

One part that was absolutely amazing was when it was explained that a Japanese quantum physicist took several identical vials of water and taped words underneath them. The words were things like, "Thank You," "I Hate You, Want To Kill You," "I Love You," etc... The next morning, he took photographs (Kirlian, I presume) of the water molecules and they each had altered themselves according to the emotions of the words printed underneath.

I'm not normally a "metaphysical" type of guy. I like to think of myself as being firmly planted in reality. But then again.... what exactly is reality? Reality, in many ways, is exactly what we make it to be. Ask anyone here or elsewhere who went from an AFC to a Master DJ (and no, I don't mean rankings on this board). There are guys out there who are enjoying phenominal success that they never thought possible less than a year ago. I'm not there yet, myself, but I've taken the critical first step in believing that I can get there. No longer will I feel sorry for myself and think that I "don't have it." Do I have it? HELL, YES!!!!

Speaking of which..... in the movie, they make a compelling argument that the human mind cannot distinguish between a memory and a current experience. Try this; think about a hot girl you've been with in the past (or haven't yet). How did you get that stiffie??? Was this hot girl anywhere near you? No, yet your mind and your mind alone caused a physical reaction in your body.

Practically every philosophy and religion in the history of this planet contains a version of "As a man thinks, so is he." This is no different. In every bodybuilding book I've ever read, they stress over and over that you must have a positive mental attitude to grow properly. You also need this to advance as a man. Ask any famous actor/singer/author and they'll tell you that they were surrounded by people who told them that they would never make it. But... they'll also tell you that they somehow just knew that they would.

Think about it and see this movie!

:)

I actually used this on a date. She was fishing for compliments so I told her about how kind words can actually change a person's physiology, then told her about the movie. She was a smart chick.

The movie is B.S., but the underlying theories are not.

Stuff like that has been coming out of quantum physics for thirty years. Read "The Tao of Physics" or "The Dancing Wu-Lei Masters" for examples... or even Deepak Chopra's stuff.

It's true... your mind and your attitude has a direct physical relationship with the "real" world. Use it.

You should not attack the science in the movie, because that is not the point of it at all... the point is to make people consider the possibility that what we believe to be fact might just be incorrect, AND, to try to explain some things about human physiology that most people do not know. (how emotions work, etc).

Exactly. The production of the movie is "B" grade at best, but that wasn't the point. It's like the Quantum Physics Greatest Hits in a single film.

i thought the film was a good introductory.
it could be a bit baffling at times but overall it was a good mind opener.
if u are interested in the message the film was getting across to the viewers i insist you read books by:
