Confidence affects how you talk to people and carry yourself. Also your attitude towards and how you deal with situations/women.

The appeal will claim that this does make you more attractive to women. An at the very least improves what you've got. We all have to deal with our own DNA/genetics as a fixed point. A thing we can improve in ourselves (gym lifestyles aside) is what's between our ears.

The guys I know who get laid the most are the guys who are out trying to get laid the most. It's that simple. The ones that are asking out all the girls, are the ones who are getting to go out with all the girls, for the most part. Women pay mainly a passive role. They have to sit back and wait to be asked out.

Women CAN find confidence attractive, but I think the main thing confidence does for you is give you the mental strength to go after what you what, to ask the girls out, and to take the lead with these passive women and guide them where you want to go. If you don't believe you can do that, then you have some problems. Because the male is the pursuer, despite all the "girls chase" PUA ads you may see. Generally speaking, of course.
