what is YOUR talent?

I know we're all aspiring to be the ABSOLUTE BEST in one (or more) areas of life.

I'm interested in becoming the BEST at my school at a hobby over the summer, and while brainstorming for ideas, I thought it'd be a great idea to ask you guys.

So, what do YOU do better than ANYONE ELSE at your school? What seperates you from everyone else? Feel free to boast!(also include a short description or story guys )

I bet you've heard it before, but dancing will get you ass. A lot of ass. My buddy Chris was breakdancing at Prom. All the girls there were looking at him like, "Oh my God, I want him!" I am going to learn how to dance this summer. When you go to the school dances/clubs and break it down like a master, people WILL NOTICE.

I am pretty good with machinery/computers. It's a decent skill, and it makes me look like a genius when I'm actually not

Let me see...
I am the only EMT at my school. It's kind of an ego boost when people ask "What do you do?", and I'm like: "I save lives". - Not to mention I consider myself to be at the top of my game (even my officers think so).

I am a very talented Bagpiper (or so I have been told), and the only one in my school (go figure).

I am going to learn how to dance this summer.

Do it! I learned Latin dancing over the past few summers. Definietly worth it.

I have a number of other "accomplishments", but those are the ones I consider myself "the best at vs. my peers/school".

My school is about as non-'urban' as you can get. Basically all rockers, alternative music, etc.

So what have I been doing?
I've been teaching myself how to crip walk (or C-Walk). It's a kind of shuffle/dance/hopscotch on crack that's done to hip hop music.

You know what? The ladies love it! It's unique, different, and such fluid and smooth motion, they can't help but wonder.

LT1, yeah a friend of mine is an EMT too. He told me about it and it's sounds interesting, but it takes like 3 full months of training,right? Plus, at my boarding school there aren't that many cases where they need a stand-by lifesaver to call on. I definately respect that though; that status is earned.

Shazim, Lucious: Dancing IS key. Don't know why I didn't think of that before but I put it on my list. C-Walk? Never heard of it before but it sounds interesting... you said you were teaching yourself? How?

Come on guys, I know there're more of you out there that just OWN THE COMPETITION at something. Be it rocket building, origami, back massages or martial arts. Speak up!

Right now, my talents are mostly a work in progress that are not quite at a show off level, with the exception of breakdancing. I performed with my breakin buddies at a school performance and perople were impressed with me (especially my style factor), but I still have a lot to learn in terms of moves (still working on gettin a solid windmill down). But when it comes time to really use it at future dances i'll have a good amount of praise.

My talents are chess, debating, and academic work (seriously if you are able to get good marks at school and ask intelligent questions to the teachers, as well as displaying a few hobbies that indicate you are normal, you get a lot of status).

Style - I'm always well dressed in stuff from mens wearhouse or Express [or dockers ]. A few ppl @ my old school called me the most guido kid they've ever met, **** like that. Girls ALWAYS comment on how I dress [positively].

And I'm a fantastic writer/one of the only guys who's good @ poetry. (Any of you DJ's ever need a book report/essay or anything I got tons stored on my comp).

And I'm the "fun" guy, who does whatever I want [skip classes, leave early, show up late, oarder in food, ect] and never gets in trouble.

And I'm a great grinder, renound for it . Tried breaking, didn't like it, and I'm learnin to rave/all that good stuff.

Some special reps that are good to have - style, dance, DRIVING [my buddy BROWNDJ is the best driver around, women love it], great sexually.

I'm almost @ that sexuality threshhold, just need to get with a few more girls from dif cliques.

The only thing that has managed to keep me from being pummeled by bullies throught MS and HS... my gift of gab. I could sell the devil hell and water to a whale. Basically I can talk my way out of a paper bag... it's what gotten through most of my life. That, and my sense of style... I was voted best dressed all four years of HS. I also can write really well, and like RedBlue, one of the only guys I know that can write poetry. Currently, I am learning how to dance really well, and I am perfecting the culinary arts and magic.

Hey man... magic here too!!

I haven't done it for a few years, but I was way big into it. I got a magic set for hannukah for like a 10th birthday or something, with Mark Wilson's course, and that totally got me turned on to it. I did shows all over the place, and it's amazing how much everyone tries to figure out how you did it.

Also a great way to break some ice, or entertain people at a restaurant, etc. Another interesting thing is the fact that if you do shows, you have to learn how to keep talking and keep people's attention diverted. A good skill to have...

Mostly street magic, GREAT kino oppurtunities! It gives you soooo much confidence for apporoaches.

I started learning when I was 6 cuz my best friend's dad was a Magician.

how'd you get into it?

Although now I am pursuiting a career as a lawyer, I always wanted to be a professional magician as a kid. I always watch magic shows and studied the works of Harry Houdini, Copperfield, and of course David Blaine. I think it's really sweet stuff, and I am looking forward to perfecting the art. And as of right now, I am focusing on an American style of cooking, since it is fairly easy... and then I may move on to Italian, or Chinese (like real Chinese... since my girlfriend is Chinese)

let me see, I study a few martial arts, mostly self taught tho, as well as nunchaku- u kno, those crazy bruce lee things, two pieces of wood witha chain in the middle. They're great when anyone comes over. Once, I had a mate and a few girls over, and they were all "what are these?", so I picked them up, did some spins and flips and other fancy stuff- had them hooked. My mate trys and hits himself on the back of the head. I laughed a lot.

And art, I'm really into painting, infact, over the summer break I'm going to be doing a lot of it. I'm kinda the only normal guy at are school thats good at art, the rest are kinda losers...

Yeah I really should look into magic or dancing, they both seem a bit more practical than my talents! Though I expect I'll start trying to master staffs or those tonfa (riot stick?) type things soon.

I'm also quite good at philosophy and stuff like that, as well as psychology (kinda how I found this site). I've found that if you can hold your own in a conversation about it (say with those evangelical christian types, animal rights activists ) you can really capture a woman's attention.

As well as confusing annoying people...
