Ok, youre chubby. So here are your options:
1) cut: this way you dont have to worry so much about your diet. You dont have any muscle to begin with, so you dont have to worry about losing it. You can also use this period to learn about diet and training. Once you are done cutting, you can bulk & cut effectively.
2) bulk: this way you are adding muscle, but you are also adding fat. Once you are done bulking, you will have to cut the fat that you gained while bulking plus the fat you had initially. Also, you have to actually pay attention while cutting, otherwise you will lose heaps of hard-earned muscle.
