i am somewhat torn on this.

He was REALLY REALLY good in Layercake. But a Bond? I don't know. I have to see the movie to tell. Brosnan was a good bond, but perhaps too easy going, never menacing or morbid. Connery had more of that.

Rowan Atkinson makes a far better secret agent.

I thought Pierce Brosnan was good. But noone can top Sean Connery. Roger Moore was pretty cool as well. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how this Craig turns out.

You essentially upped your VALUE in her eyes by showing her that, if she wants you, she has to at times do things that you like to do. You are SOMETHING after all. You are NOT FREE. If she wants to hang with you, it's going to cost her something — time, effort, money.

Personally I like pierce Brosnan the best, but as stated before, I have to see the movie in order to pass judgement.

From the trailer though, I can't really picture this guy as Bond, more like the guy from the Transporter.

I reserve my judgement after I had seen the movie. It would be unfair to judge the guy before the movie is released to public

I'm so pissed why they have to BREAK the tradition of a DARK haired bond... a blonde bond is going to look so weird... HATE IT! stupid director needs to get shot once and a chuck norris kick to the face.

I do hate the blond bond. It makes him look stupid. blond hair is for women.

I really liked the darker style of Die Another Day. I'm looking forward to Casino Royale. I want to see Bond for the primal killer he is, underneath the tuxedo and behind the martinis.

If you want to talk, talk to your friends. If you want a girl to like you, listen to her, ask questions, and act like you are on the edge of your seat.

GoldenEye was the last good Bond, probably Brosnan's best. The first half of Die another Day was decent, but it went downhill into wierdness after. The whole DNA transplant, invisible cars, parachuting with a giant wave.. bit campy. If it is anywhere near the same feel like the Bourne series I will be happy.

Anyways as I mentioned, they are starting the series over again, theoretically speaking, the blond hair is not a problem and in fact, any other future Bond actors might have to have blond hair now.

totally man.. i get annoyed with excessive effects and over the top crap. Then again, Bond was always about technogadgets.. but not when they take over the feeling of the movie...

RE: Gadgetry - For Your Eyes Only and From Russia With Love were more about espionage and intrigue, vs. gadgetry and action. Goldeneye was kinda like that, too.

Michael Caine was a great understated secret agent in the Ipcress File.

My biggest problem with Daniel Craig is his stated aversion to guns.
Sorry, but pistol skills are a part of the Bond character, but he apparently tried to tailor the action to keep guns out of the film and have Bond use more improvised weaponry.
