Here's what I do now:

Day 1:

Squats, 3 sets of 5
Deadlifts, 1 set of 5
Dumbbell Bench Press, 3 sets of 5
Dumbbell Rows, 3 sets of 5
Overhead Dumbbell Triceps Press, 3 sets of 5

Day 2:

Squats, 3 sets of 5
Cleans, 3 sets of 5
Standing Barbell Shoulder Press, 3 sets of 5
Dumbbell Biceps Curls, 3 sets of 5
Dumbbell Lat Raises, 3 sets of 5

I take a day off between each day of lifting, and a couple of days off at the end of the week. Also I try to eat a lot of healthy food, protein, green vegetables, milk, etc.

Is this a good routine so far?

Damn, I meant to put this under "Health and Fitness", if a mod could move it over there, that would be great

Firstly, I would do this:

The first set = 8 reps
The second set = 6 reps
The last set = 4 reps

make sure that you are struggling on the last lift. If you can do more than four on your last set, than you are not lifting enough weight.

As for your routine, try to focus on particular muscle groups--vary it by day.

Do you have time for three days at the gym? It would be better.

Sticking to your Two day plan I would do this.

day 1
Biceps
Back
Legs (inc. squats)
abs

day 2
chest
tricep
shoulder
abs

As for the excersises to work out those muscles, you can pick whatever you like. Some routines are for newbies, so decide what your ready for, and do it.

I like it, but one word of advice coming from 4+ years of gym experiance...

Routines are not as important as willpower, consistency and time (in that order). Willpower to push yourself to do things you don't like, consistency to eat properly and NEVER miss workouts, and time to make it all happen.

What I'm saying is, as long as you don't stray from your work you will make good progress. The moment you start missing workouts, slacking off on meals, and looking for shortcuts in different routines is the moment everything falls apart. It takes about 6 months at least to test out a routine to see if it will give you good gains with a proper diet. If you switch your routines every 3 weeks, your body wont amount to much.

Stay focused & best of luck.

Thanks. I definitely have the willpower, I'm sick of having a body I'm unhappy with, plus I've found that the hardest part of this for me is taking days off, since I really enjoy lifting weights :D
