What do you do when your in your head?

I find that my game is really good when I am in a good state. Unfortunately, sometimes I get really in my head and cant seem to get in a good state. How do you guys manage to get in good state? Tonight, I was really in my head. This is partially because I didn't drink and I am also really tired but I feel like in order to be have true game you need to be able to maintain a positive state, no matter what. I feel like only a weak person should rely on alcohol to get in state.
So, to sum it up, how do yall stay in good state no matter what?

hit the gym. squeezing out/ counting reps keeps you focused on nothing else. Plus your body will react to the tearing muscle tissue by releasing natural endorphines = happy :up:

I play xbox online too, its just a distraction from the world for a bit now and again, helps chill me out.

Fishing - getting out on the beach with a couple of rods in the evening = peace and quiet. lets the world go past.

Basically - get some hobbies. Dont go out with a mission to lay - you will probably fail.

My best times in the clubs/bars are when i'm in a good mood, dont give a damn what anyone thinks about me and just have a laugh meeting new people.

Meeting people and chattin to them is the best way to up your game.

How do you expect to chat up a HB9 if you cant talk to anyone about anything?

Chat with people around you. Warmup helps a lot.

A lot of times in life we have to mentally "shift gears." Sometimes it's easy, sometimes not. You start doing what you need to do and your brain will follow.

In other words, initially your brain may resist what you want to do. But you do it anyway. Then after a while, you end up in the zone and often find yourself enjoying it.

Of course, only do this when you are well rested. If you really are very tired, don't go to the club. Stay home and get some sleep.

what? I've been trying to do this for the past month!

OP. i would also suggest working on your inner game also. read a few books. learn a new skill.

i shoot pool at a pretty high level. plus i play cards too ( i'm banned on 2 online poker sites but i can always seam to find a live game. ) so just find your hobbie and own it!

Good advice

Yeah hitting the gym, generally keeping healthy, keeping diet good, sleeping well etc are all important.

Another obvious point is how is your life generally, try to minimise stress and worry.

Another aspect is mindfulness. Strive for mindfulness in every part of your life.



But, you don't NEED to be "in state" to pull, you can have a car crash interaction and still get the result, the key is authenticity. As long as it's real, it's OK.

It's BETTER to be in state but not necessary.
