today at lunch i saw this chic. probably a 4-5. she wasnt that hot at all i just wanted to get a cold approach under my belt and practice so i can get ready to hit up the clubs this weekend....

im not going into the complete dialogue but at the end i said,

ME:"listen, i gotta get goin but how bout u give me your number and well chill sometime?"

HER: Im flattered but i have a bf.
ME: thats perfectly fine, well listen it was nice meetin ya, ill see ya around..."


i wanna know some different types of respones i COULD have given her besides that weak a$$ one i delivered !!!

I just say, "Ever thought about trading up?". haha

It's pretty ballsy, and borderline arrogant, but I don't care.

Anyway, their response has ALWAYS been to giggle and then either play along with it OR to giggle and say that she is happy with her bf. At that point I say, "hehe, alright, take care.".

I'm not one for trying to get with girls who have bf's so I don't care much for pushing it. And if she's just bullshietting, I don't care to push it either. If she doesn't tell me she's actually single when I tell her to trade up, I consider it better to end it and talk to someone else.

Easy Peasy.

*edit* Ah forgot...I sometimes give them a suspicious look like, "Are you trying to play a game with me?". And remain quiet for a couple seconds. They will say they really do have a bf or that they don't.

According to the gurus here, that will illicit a laugh and maybe a punch on the arm ("You're so silly..."). Maybe then you'll have a chance to weasel your way in.

Here's one but not as good as "trade up"

It's not nearly as good as the "trading up" line up above. That's perhaps the best line I've ever heard to the "I have a boyfriend" line and I highly suggest you use it.

I got good play off this line when I was an AFC and I somehow blurted out a DJ line out of nervousness. The gal thought it was awesome and suddenly became interested:

Me: "Hey, can I get your phone number and call you next time I'm in town?"

Her: "Well, I have a boyfriend, but thanks anyway."

Me: "How about when you get rid of your boyfriend?"

She laughed her ass off. That's a good line, but only use it if you can't use the trade up line, that's just too epic to pass up. I plan on putting that in my DJ memory bank.
