Hi All,

I know not to expect anything immediately. I bought a Tanita InnerScan scale which measures bf%, weight, hydration levels, muscle mass and bone mass.

My muscle mass was 48.9kg and after my workout it was 49.0kg. The scales do tend to go up or down by 0.1kg in regular weight, but they actually stayed at 49.0 even though I weighed myself a few times.

Does that mean my workout is equivalent to a muscle gain of 0.1kg. If so is that good?

Also, what do you think of my stats? I am 54kg, have 49kg muscle mass, 2.6kg bone mass and bf of 5%. I am aware that I am underweight but what do you think of the ratio of muscle, bone and body fat?

Thanks
J

You can be pretty sure that your bodyfat is not 5%. You are probably measuring it with a scale, which is obviously wrong. Also, you can be pretty sure that your muscle mass hasn't increased within a hour. Working out actually DESTROYS muscle cells, before they are rebuilt while you rest, so, if any, your muscle mass is lower after a workout.
Also, how can you expect us to judje you if you don't even post your height, man? Anyway, 54kg is SKINNY if you are anywhere above 5'2... Unless you bone mass is actually 2.6 kg;)

Thanks for the reply. Obviously it was just a fluctuation between 48.9 and 49.0kg.

I a 180cm or 5"11. And yes I am about 5% body fat. When I had it done by a gym I was 3%, but that was a few years back.

Wanna see what 3% looks like?

This is 3%, but probably now you're a bit fatter... say, 5%, something like this:

If I were you, I'd get back to 3%, fatso!
