So Im still here in The Philippines, just had some Jollibee mini burgers, fries and diet coke.

I rarely eat fast food while I’m out here which is the reason I’ve lost some weight. Because I’ve been eating home cooked meals all this time.

Even though, I find it nice to indulge in something once in a while. To all you health freaks out here, I think you’d be lying if you say you never get any cravings now and then.

So once in a while which fast food chain do you guys like to eat? When Im in Texas, I like Whataburger, Burger King, Subway and Wendys.

Something comes to mind right now, I’ve done some research on fast food on instagram and the ingredients they serve it with are quite controversial and nasty. So if they are true, I’d opt to stop eating at a fast food joint altogether. I suggest you do your research on youtube and google.

But for now, I still have my cravings so I won’t stop just yet.

First though you gotta understand that I am somewhat of a health food nut, so having said that, my guilty fast food pleasure is the tuna sub at Subway! I just ate one today for lunch and most likely won't eat for the rest of the day. But I'm fussy about tuna and they really do make the best!
Yum! This is actually what I've brought for lunch to work today, and I had it yesterday as well. Homemade, not Subway though. I keep mine simple. Soft Hot-Dog roll, mayo, Smoke flavoured Tuna, Swiss Cheese, and I put it in the Panini Press at work. Delicious!

Wong knows best... I wouldn't say no to a Tuna Melt

I regards to the original question, I suppose I tend to think more of cuisine, than a specific burger. For example, Mexican (Taco's, Nacho's), Pizza, Burgers, Ribs, Chinese / Asian food (big scene here in Darwin, Australia... as we are on the doorstep of Asia).

A few jack in the box tacos, some fries, and a bag of weed.

At least in the old days.

Lately any decent Mexican take out I can find.

On a related gastronomic topic, I think "Comfort Food" is closely related to "Fast Food" in terms of a dopamine hit.

This Wiki article has a great list.

Totally agree. This may sound odd, but I have two teaspoons of french vanilla ice cream right before bed and it relaxes me, calms my emotions and I am able to fall right to sleep!

I saw the insomnia thread and thought of posting this tip but figured I'd just sound too crazy (more than many guys here think I already am lol) so decided against.
I'm an insomniac, and I've tried numerous things over the years. I think this solution is just personalized to you! :)

Have you tried the ice cream though? I know of another person who has an entire bowl of chocolate ice cream before bed and he sleeps like a baby too.

A bowl is too much, just a couple of teaspoons is all you need. Give it a shot! I suffered from insomnia too for YEARS ever since I was a kid.
I haven't immediately before bed, with the intention of it helping me sleep. I'll give anything a go! :)

Burger King bacon double cheeseburger, which keeps getting smaller and more expensive. And Wendy's chili on a cold winter day. I worked at Wendy's when I was 16. The chili is made from the hamburgers that sit on the grill too long, which seems to shock some people. But it has beans and tomatoes in it, therefore making it have actual nutrition, unlike most fast food. I probably have each of these once a year or so.

They are better at Hungry Jacks :p
I don't have that chain near me, so I wouldn't know.

Hardee's and Back Yard Burger sell burgers that were cooked at a factory and then steamed to reheat at the restaurant. They are awful. Dairy queen cooks their meat in the store, but the beef is dairy cattle, which were bred to make milk, unlike beef cattle which were bred to taste good.

As we say in Australia, I was 'taking the p!ss'.... Here, Burger King is known as Hungry Jacks. I think it came down to a copyright type issue, when Burger King launched Down Under. And also, their slogan is "The Burgers are Better at Hungry Jacks"... :p

I think that expression is English, originally, because I know it from my ex wife. Her dad was an raf pilot in ww2. He flew a hawker typhoon at treetop heights to shoot nazis in France, took a bullet in the neck but still flew the plane home safely, because they instilled it into him : don't lose our plane. He collapsed from blood loss across the dashboard right after landing. They saved his life and he lived to a ripe old age.

English and Australian humour have a lot more in common, than our American cousins.

The metal foil you wrap food in, do you say ahLUhminum or AHL lu MIN ee um? My former mother in law said the latter.
Australians pronounce it as the latter. Americans are really the outlier on these kinda things? For example, modernity embraces the Metric system... :p

Why do Americans say "Tuna Fish", and not "Salmon Fish"? Why not "Cow Beef"?

I thought my mother in law was trying to mess with me by trying to talk funny. And in Americuh we oppose the metric system, if they put up metric signs, we shoot them down with our guns.

When I'm craving fast food, it's always Taco Bell or McDonald's. There's just something about those Crunchwrap Supremes and Big Macs. I totally get the craving part, even with all the questionable ingredients out there.

But when I'm in the mood for a home-cooked fast food fix, I turn to hamburgers from Costco. I use Kirkland Angus chuck patties. Simple stuff - just toss 'em on the grill, add some fresh veggies, a slice of cheddar, all between a lightly toasted bun. Totally hits the spot without feeling too "fast-foody."
