Heyyyy... I have curly hair... and my hair is getting pretty long... It looks kinda ugly now when its dry... but when its wet (when I come out of the shower), I think it looks fvcking good.

I've tried gel to have the wet effect but it never worked good for me ... :( maybe its my gel that sucks ? (It's Dep 10)

Anyone knows how to have the wet hair effect without having to put 329478382 gallon of gel in your hair?

(or is there any gel you recommend for the wet hair look?)

I dunno man... For now I leave them dry ... I guess it's OK but I'd love to try some new stuff...

And the last time I cut my hair, people were telling me how much I looked better when they were long and how I should of never cut them, so I don't feel like cutting them now.

Thx

use some better gels with less hold...also wet your hair considerably before you put in the gel. Every1 has a tendency to make the hair look neat, so DONT! Grab around your hair and put it in random directions and elevations to give it that wet messy look.

If this doesnt work, try wax.

Go to the black hair care section and look for this stuff that comes in an orange tin. It's called Murray's- get the regular one. It's designed for black people who fry their hair.. (think Al Sharpton or Snoop Dogg). So you can imagine the shaping power and hold this goop has when applied to white people hair !!

It's been around since the '20s. Duke Ellington and Elvis used it. Billy Idol, Leo DiCaprio, Brian Seitzer, Jesse James (of Monster Garage) and I use it. (if that's not endorsement enough)

If you can't get your hair to do what you want with this stuff, then your hair is hopeless.

The only caveat: you have to go easy on the stuff - it's very powerful. Too much and you'll look like you have a grease pit in your hair.

Yes, I already want that wet messy look... but "use some better gel" doesn't help me much :) But I usually dont wet my hair before gelling it ,maybe that's the problem

And for wax... I've tried Fructis wax but it really looks more greasy than wet.

And victor von, thank you, I'll look around to find Murray's. Hope it will do the work.

Any more suggestions ?
